    I would say that if you find you can follow along then you have improved. But also remember with YouTube you can slow down the videos. It does make them speak slightly wierd but at least you can keep up with the notes easier.

    I do the same. I only found out there was a different (or correct) way to hold the pick when I came to this site. When I’m tremolo picking, strumming I hold the pick with my index and thumb. I find this much easier for speed picking as u can angle the pick a little. For economy picking and...

    Might be worth still playing. Working out what you can play without it. If you was playing live and your E string broke you’d need to style it out like nothing happened.
