Thanks for the update Jak!
Let me know if you need help funding the contests. I got a few shekels laying around I can throw to the cause if you need it. I love these contests and watching everyone participate.
In my experience, it might equal out depending on your guitar. I always have mine adjusted professionally after I string it. Once a year and $20 and it no longer becomes my problem lol
I personally love this new rule! Not that it works well for me being that I don’t like showing my face or speaking in videos but I know we need something like this. We need more riffs and videos posted here and I think this is a great way to get that going.
Over the past 6 months I’ve been playing multiple different tunings on multiple guitars and so far I’ve noticed myself growing fond of D Standard (Full step down)
Personally, in my music writing, I find the tone of the song is often driven by the lyrics. I find it is much better to have the lyrics before the music so that you are setting a proper tone to the music with the lyrics, rather than vice versa.
Saw godsmack just last month. If I wasn’t standing behind 3 6ft tall fat sweaty guys would have been a very enjoyable show. Even in the tiny little arena though they kicked ass! Volbeat is most likely my favorite live band. They always put on a good show and play their hearts out.

I try to get an hour of practice in per day. 30 minutes of learning new techniques or improving my weaker ones. 30 minutes of song playing. So far its worked out well combining the schools lessons, youtube lessons, and rocksmith. Ed’s opinion is on point with mine. Combine multiple methods to...
So long story short, I recently bought Rocksmith 2014 Remastered with the hopes of having some feedback on my playing. I was originally looking for lessons in the area I live in so I can have some feedback on my playing. Turns out I can’t afford lessons. I was looking. Cheapest in the area was...
Saint Rhoads.
I was 6 listening to Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley in the car on my old MP3 player my dad got me and the guitar work on those songs is the thing that got me into rock and metal. As well as wanting to learn guitar.
