    The big thing is that you dont want to turn those bridge screws while there is pressure on the knife edges. It will dull the pivot points and cause those tuning problems.

    That may be because of the pick material. Harder plastics or acrylics might be the reason for that. Softer materials that sound darker or thicker may fix that. What picks are you using?

    Depends on how youre recording. If you’re direct recording or micing an amp, it shouldnt be a problem. The reason youre probably hearing that is because you and your pick are closer and more directly in front of the microphone than the amp.

    I would definitely say to switch out the EMG for syn’s pickup. I dont think EMGs are that great and active pickups in generally arent very versatile. They do 1 tone good and that’s it. Syns pickup is phenomenal and has a tightness and tone I havent heard in other pickups. Highly recommended.

    No, invaders are passive and so are syns schecter pickups. Active pickups arent that great with dynamics, they are just loud. They are good for metal rhythm and ok for leads. I personally wouldnt buy anymore active pickups. I’ve tried a few different brands and I didnt like any of them.
