App to Slow the tempo (?)

“music speed changer” is a pretty good free alternative

wich are your favorite Outros of a7x?

Not necessarily my favorites, but these are the ones that came to mind immediately: Dancing dead, unbound (the wild ride), blinded in chains

    Needing Help on Lesson 25

It might be easier if you fret the notes on the G and B string with your middle finger instead of your ring finger.

    Whats your favorite pick?

I had been using the John Petrucci jazz III for a long while, then I switched to the JP flow pick and really liked. Recently I got myself a variety pack of dunlop flow picks and now I’m really digging the 0.73 and 0.88 mm flow picks, which is kinda weird because I always thought thicker picks...

    Tapping issues

I remember having the same problem when I first started to learn tapping. The key to do this is to take off your finger from the 11th fret before you pull off from 16 to 9. This will be quite hard to do in the beginning and it will feel awkward, but once muscle memory kicks in it will become...

Whats your opinion on games like Rocksmith? Helpful or Detrimental?

Anything that pushes you to keep playing and praticing is helpful. I don’t see how it could be detrimental.

    My pedalboard is complete.

if you right-click on the failed image and click “open image in new tab” (or whatever it is in english) you can see the image. At least that works for me on chrome.

    HELP

If you think you won’t have enough time to properly learn it, maybe you could consider “dumbing down” the solo a bit to make it easier to play. I suppose most people in the audience won’t be that familiar with a7x and won’t notice it?
  9. D

Do you guys ever have this?

Yeah I don’t remember how to play most stuff that I played a long time ago, but usually relearning something takes much less time than learning something completely new

    Solo to learn?

until the end, dear god, seize the day, victim, warmness on the soul, clairvoyant disease. These are some relatively easy solos that I attempted to learn at an early point playing guitar.

Post Your old beginner clips here!

This is the first guitar video I ever made, a bit over 4 years ago.

I'm back! And in need of help😨😨

With an even number of notes per string I find it easier to alternate pick and start every string with an upstroke, regardless of wether I’m ascending or descending. So that would up-down-up-down (next string) up-down-up-down, etc.

    guitar cables

Every guitar cable that I use at some point just goes dead, it’s not a steady decrease in sound quality, just at some point it goes from 100% sound to nothing. I guess the cable breaks somewhere internally due to moving it around all the time. So I was wondering which brand of cables do you...

    Rattle

I had a similar rattle on my electric guitar a while ago, turned out the plastic thingy that covers the truss rod nut was a bit loose and I just had to tighten the screw.

    D K's riff from October 27, 2018 at 8:46 am

Hey guys, it's been a while since I uploaded a video, so here's the intro of Buried Alive. Any tips on how I can improve my finger picking and/or tone are appreciated 🙂

    Barre chord muting.

Try placing your barring finger in a way that it touches the 6th string but doesn’t push it down, so it doesn’t vibrate

    Saving for a different guitar?

Just choose whichever feels right to you, I’m left handed and play right handed guitar and I have no regrets in that respect.

Now I am really glad I stayed home to practice

That’s fucked, but don’t smash your guitar on their head, that’s only gonna get you in trouble
  19. D

    So i think i may have f$&ked up…

I’m left handed and play right handed as well, I chose to do that because whenever I imagined playing guitar I would imagine playing right handed, because left handed seemed awkward. I have never experienced this as a disadvantage. Of course my left hand will always get the hang of things faster...

    Time well spent

Also, I try to play guitar every day, even if I’m not in the mood at all I try to play for at least 15 minutes or so.
