Hey guys,
just wanted to thank all you active members! With your help I could finally approach my guitar playing more seriously and begin to understand the meaning behind it. Also love the discussions here, the challenges and seeing others becoming better with me. Syn build an incredible community here full of kind and helpfull people.
I never was that active forum guy, never felt like posting something or really belonging there. But not in the Syn School Community. Here we can talk about pretty much anything seriously, helping each other and sharing stuff. So I am incredibly thankful for this School and Community!
Also thanks to everybody helping me to decide what gear I’ll get for my birthday in June, where my thread and also “AMP suggestion” really helped me. I decided for a used Schecter c-1 classic and the Boss Katana Mini amp and cannot wait to share them with you after my birthday and maybe give a little review about my new gear.

Sweet choices homie!! Never played a C-1..but I think you’ll be happy with the Katana Mini..I know I am!! It is small..but it’s mighty! Hah it sounds huge actually. I’ve had it for about a week and been plugging into it instead of the almighty axe fx. It’s just convenient. Fits on the coffee table nicely, sets beside you on the bed, or the front porch swing lol for real though it’s a cool little dude! I recently uploaded a riff using the mini on the brown channel, if you wanna check it out and hear how it sounds though an iPhone mic with the amp volume around 2.5. I’m excited for you to get your stuff!

@jake Thanks! The C-1 differs in quite some points from the Epiphone I play now and looks just beautiful. For the mini I already tested it at my local music store and then exchanged my “randall Kirk Hammet 15” amp for the mini. Or at least that made it cheaper lol. I won the KH 15, it is a small amp with a nice clean but a shitty distortion that’s nothing to with Kirk imo. However, the katana is a beast that sounds even better than my giant (in comparison) fender mustang amp.
So I already got my presents, just have to wait exactly one month today to get them in action on my birthday!
And nice video! The distorted part on the lower strings didn’t sound too impressive through the iphone mic, but I love how clean that lick on the higher strings sounds!
