so, I made a quick back track.
colab backtrack.
So, this is how it goes. It’s a little more then 30 seconds, but I did that because I figured we would need a full set of bars to solo over. I think it is around 45 seconds in total, all you have to do is mix together your take on the video, and send it to me. I can do the mixing myself.. Because this is a improv collab, I figure you will not have as much time as you’d like to really make the video. So I’d say a week, two max. It doesn’t have to be amazing, it just needs to be you.
I used Bflat/gminor penatonic to make the riff. You can find many scales to play off that. Ids can probably suggest a few that you wouldn’t think of trying. Push yourself and try something new, or you can stick to your own roots, but try shredding something you never thought possible before. You can write it I suppose, but an improv would be neat. No judgements here. It’s a pretty simple progression, I only use three notes. I just palm mute them, then play them open. Use the first half to build up to the second half.. ideally first half could be melodic, and second half crazy shredding.. for example. Give me all you got guys. If I see some real interest in this I may keep this up. Could be a neat week/monthly thing we can do to add to the fun here.
if you’d like a MP3 or wav version of this just let me know and I can send it to you.
