Did anyone start playing because of syn or Brian Sr.?

I started playing guitar when I heard nightmare. I absolutely had to learn it and I did it was my first ever thing I learned. I am just curious is anyone else started playing because of either of the two Guitar gods on this site.

I started playing and found avenged at the same time, and so I became inspired by them very early in my playing.

They weren’t the definitive reason I picked up the guitar, but they’re largely to credit for me getting serious about the instrument.

Did Not start because of them, but city of evil was blowing my mind, especially the bat country solo, and that was the moment my style of playing completely changed.
System of a Down was the reason for me.

Neither of them was an influence back in 1984 when I started, but I did lose my way from guitar around 99/00 and City of Evil, among other records, really made me want to not become someone who “used to play guitar.”
Beast and the Harlot also made me focus on a few things, so I’ll definitely give props where due.

Syn is definitely a major influence for me. I’d probably still want to play the instrument even if A7X didn’t exist because there are so many other bands I listen to, but I wouldn’t be into guitar playing as much.
Him and Dimebag are my biggest influences.

I started for the same reason a lot of young boys start. For the girls lol. But now synyster mfkn gates is my spirit animal lol. My biggest influence now. I have become a “fanboy” since the stage tour. Now i need a meet and greet to get something signed. Plus my wife thinks he is hot lol
