Great advice! Certain players have "go to" shapes and positions. The only way you can get that sound is to play it exactly the same way.
Forgot to say, John Frusciante really loves triads too! That helped too in that department

Snow (hey oh) for example is G#m E-shape(3rd inversion), E C-shape(1st inversion), B G-shape(1st inversion), F# C-shape(1st inversion), G#m E-shape(3rd inversion), E C-shape(1st inversion), B G-shape(1st inversion), F# E-shape(2nd inversion)

Add the Hendrixy embellishments and that's it.

"E minor 7th arpeggio contains the same notes as a G major 6 chord and the B minor 7th arpeggio contains the same notes as a G major 9 chord minus the root"

Is there an easy trick to memorise this for all chords? 🤣
Like the circle of 5th and 4th for intervals, and the octave trick to figure out notes on the fretboard.
