Guys it’s been my goal for a while to start a band but I didn’t think anything would happen this soon. Anyways at like One in the morning I few guitar videos on my instagram story and my friend who does vocal stuff really liked it and we decided to start a band! The next day I recruited my other friend on bass and and my vocalist’s friend used to play drums and he said he’s gonna pick them up again for the band. Then I invited my friend from the next town over on guitar who I think I have a really good dynamic with to join.
So as soon as our drummer gets a drum set we’re gonna meet up at our singer’s place and work on a song I’ve already started, it’s like a classical chord progression with a lot of power and aggression and palm muting. Anyways my singer wants to go for punk and hip hop, the other guitar player likes classic rock and metal, my bass player likes psychedelic rock and metal, I like metal alternative rock and shred and instrumental stuff and I don’t know about the drummer, so yeah whatever that will sound like! Got any tips on stuff that might help on learning how to write in the context of a group and stuff and just to be more efficient as a band? Or just what to exepect because this is a high school band.
