Hey Dan! How are you doing mate?
Sorry for not posting earlier.
The thing i like the most on your playing is your vibrato and feeling. I really like it!
You should be proud of yourself!
I agree with @Ids. Sometimes you seemed a bit indecisive… But that is ok, I have the same problem.
But overall you gave us a very good improv.
Hope to see more!!

Gabriel and Dan- I completely understand the indecisiveness you guys have. I have that problem aswell sometimes. It usually kinda happens when I stop hearing stuff in my head. What I do to hide that is just shred based on muscle memory(or mindless shredding if you will) for a while in the hope something pops up in my head. When something does pop up that’s great if It doesn’t I just kinda try to have a cool end to my solo(ending with shredding can be very cool even if it’s mindless)

Nice job! You’re almost there buddy.
Love Iron Maiden. One of the bands that made me love metal.
Thanks for the nomination. Wasn’t ready for it. Felt like when the teacher calls on you to read your report in front of the class lol. I’ll try to get something up this weekend. I have a week though, right?

I don’t care if your breakthrough was just learning one whole note that hangs for two measures; I am so proud of you and happy for you! Oftentimes these breakthroughs may SEEM tiny and insignificant, but they lead to bigger breakthroughs that really develop your playing! Also, they’re called ostinatos 😎 and they’re hard to play fast even with a simple pattern. I think the biggest tip I can give for them is to not look at your fingers when you do them. Your eyes can’t process them as fast as your muscles can do them. Keep practicing, Ed!!! You’re doing great!

Sorry it took so long. Here’s my video. My daughter recorded me. Please excuse the tiny voice in the background.
This is an Am blues progression i put together about a month ago. Still not as clean as it should be, but there were a few takes from the “director”.
I now nominate the mighty Jak.

OMG I LOVE THIS!!! You have a great concept of HOW to change chords (as in, not moving your fingers more than necessary) and your rhythm is pretty solid! I love the fact that you’re working on rhythm, chords, and chord progressions. Also, your daughter is ADORABLE and miraculously was on key when she started singing! I guess music runs in the family, eh? 🙂 I’ll post something up soon! Great work, my friend. Keep it up!

@jak – Thanks! Your words mean more than you think. My daughter is constantly singing. One of her favorite songs I Am the Fire by Halestorm. Good taste in music so far. Also, I figured if my rhythm was solid then my leads would be great when I dive deeper into solos.
@calvin – Thanks my man. My first take was actually pretty good. Just had to redo it bc you could hear my daughter over my playing. Still kept it for laughs later.
@Ids – Thank you my fellow curly headed synner
