Hoping that we can move onto a new one today.. I have the day off and could put some time into it. But I think a couple still have to post for this riff. I’m nominating Jen to pick the next lesson as she was nice enough to let me do it last week. And for Id’s sake, I’ll try to be more melodic for you.. The main issue I have is most of my melodies go straight into my recordings, and my improv is still a working progress, so I guess that would explain why the melodies dont come so quick. I dont wanna used recycled material you know? And I still have lots to learn about the fret board.. working 60 hours a week sucks for learning theory. But I’ll do my best to create something more melodic. I’ll check back when I get back home to see if we have a new lesson up. If not, I might have to skip out this week.. have a wedding this weekend.

I finally choose a backing track for the next challenge week. Of cause we can also wait for more persons posting their video of the last.
But here is my suggestion for the next backing track. Such a smooth vibe 🙂

Okay, I took the time to do the improv tonight. I’m gonna go ahead and post the one I did. I sat down, did my caged system exercise for 3 positions, and then played the video. Pretty simple and straight forward, did it clean to force myself to play slower and create more of a melody. I would put more time into this this week, but with a brother’s wedding this weekend, im not even sure I’ll have time to study more. Lucky for me Jenn picked a scale I am kind of familiar with.. as we all should be. Altho honestly I think I only have 3 songs written in C major myself. Just happened to work out that way.
