I personally rather listen to well stolen than badly written songs so videos like this are always pretty interesting to me. Rick Beato basically compares a toto song with a justin bieber song and he says some pretty interesting things in the process too
Very interesting what he said about Justin being a great musician and that record labels should let their artists write their own songs. I totally agree. Justin's been playing the drums since he was a little kid, and he has a lot of groove.

I've heard John Mayer say it too. Justin is an amazing melody writer, lyrics are difficult for everybody but he apparently can hum melodies that are already great

Yeah, exactly. People hate on him, but he's very talented.
My critics isn't for beibers talent. It's thebother side that bothers me. Click baits. Storylines.. band wagoners.. etc.. if he stayed out of the news like most pop.stars struggle with it'd be a much different opinion in him. He's clearly a good writer or he wouldn't be where he is now. I just hate the Fandom.

But im like that with many artists. Some just like to be in to be in scene.

Yeah, but people also forget that he was just a pre-teen when he was discovered by Scooter Braun, and he grew up with a lot of money and fame, and this can backfire. He did stupid things in the past, yes, but every teenager thinks they're invincible. He just had a lot more access to things than the majority of the kids, plus his life was under a magnifying glass... Scooter Braun was and still is responsible for Justin's image, and I think sometimes he just tried to force this "role model" persona into Justin and it ended up not working. After the Purpose album, things turned to a different direction, and now we can see Justin as the imperfect human being that he is and all of us are. He has matured and his fans too.

This song is about that tbh, it's about how easily people dislike you when you screw up and are seen as monster because of it

I always like Rick Beato's videos for not only the insight he provides, but also how he dives into music and artist that people might easily disregard as 'pop garbage' or whatever. At some point hating on Justin Bieber was just the cool thing to do. Yet at the same time he has managed to stay relevant for a pretty long time now and I think that on its own says a lot.

I believe he has matured over time...most pop stars don't. I personally don't listen to much r n b or pop so he's not my style anyways. He's a hometown boy in my area so we hear about him a lot.
