Needing Help Changing a Song's Pitch + Tuning Questions

Hey everyone! My singer wants to work on Parkway Drive’s “Wishing Wells” to practice her screaming. But the song is REALLY freaking low. I put our track into our Slow Downer and it needs to be raised 1 1/2 steps to be in her register for practicing. Is there ANYONE here that I can have help me actually DO this (not just in my slowdowner) so she can have it for practicing?
Also the tuning for the song is in Drop B. Is that like just two WHOLE steps down? So completely every single string drop tuned 2 whole steps? And if so, if I needed my guitar RAISED 1 1/2 steps from drop B, what tuning am I in? Thank you guys so much!

I bet hed using a 7 string but probably tuned the entire guitar down on a 6

Drop B is like drop D but 1.5 steps down(all the strings dropped 1.5 step and then the low E is dropped 2.5 steps) so moving back up means you’re back in drop D.

B is like tuning down five frets (2& a half steps) from E. One & A Half steps up from drop B is Drop D. For changing pitch, my first thought would be to see how it would sound if I dumped the song into Reaper, used reaPitch to adjust it, and then export that into Mp3 or Wav or whatever. I haven’t tried it yet ‘cuz this computer is too old and crap and my good computer is dead, but I bet it works.

Hi Jak,
Drop B is just drop D in 1.5 steps down.
So 1.5 steps up is drop D.
You can always use Guitar Pro tabs and shift the tuning 1.5 steps up and export it as mp3 (with 3 guitars and drums it sounds great, ofc not a recording quality ^^, I can help with that if its OK for you).

Hey Jak, if you have a DAW such as reaper you can put a pitch change effect on the master. As stated before it is 1.5 steps down from Drop D.

Insert> media file
Then go to the master track (or track 1 as there is only one track) and click on the effects tab. Select REApitch and enter the amount of semitones you want to raise or lower the pitch by.

It’s very easy to change a track’s pitch in Audacity if Reaper is a bit too complex (which for some it is, and that’s totally understandable). Under track effects there will be one fir pitch and you can alter pitch by the cent or by steps. Since drop B is, like others said, 1.5 steps below drop D, you would raise the pitch by 1.5 in the controls.
