Question about the synyster custom-s

I recently just got a new custom-s in the satin gold burst and when I use the neck pickup wish the sustainiac off i get a lot static type noise coming through the pickup but it goes away if I switch to the bridge pickup. Is this normal or do I need to contract schecter?

Are you using a lot of distortion? And does it go away when you rest a finger on your strings? It’s an active pickup and a single coil, both of which are noisy on their own with higher gain. If it goes away when you rest your fingers on the strings, it’s a grounding issue probably.

I would contact whoever you bought it through. It could be a defect

no it doesnt go away when i cover the strings. i will see if i can make a video and upload it when i get home tonight. yes i use a lot of distortion that is produced by the amp.
