Question about tone in this BFMV song

There is a fullness to the backing guitars playing power chords. Is this fullness coming from the bass guitar or is the tone super amazing? I simply cannot replicate this thing with my electric guitar. I am lost

It sounds like it’s definitely because of both. But don’t forget that in mastered songs like this they probably have about a total of 8 rhythm tracks going on that makes it sound more Fuller. Try not to strive for what you hear exactly on the recordings because more than likely, what you are hearing is several different layers of guitar parts with different tone set ups

thanks, my ears are so used to these sounds, whenever i record something, it sounds crap to me

They are using emgs and i think peavy Amps? Not Sure about the AMP. While it’s still a Mix of bass, guitar and Studio mixing i found that with emgs and a Brown setting on a Boss katana AMP you are coming really Close.
I Play through the katana Mini and think it can almost Sound alike sitting in Front of the amp.
But their live Sound isnt that powerfull either so I guess mixing is also a very important Point.
