Retuning a floyd rose

So i got my floyd rose guitar back from being tuned from the guitar store well i was a complete jerk by bending the strings out now my A string is out of tune with the floating tremelo further down…should i try to tune it and if so will the springs need readjusted?

First try to tune it if that doesn’t work change the tension in the spring

If the Floyd was set up properly by a store, it should be proper tension in the strings when you retune it to the tuning which it was. Keep in mind you’ll have to go down the line of strings and tune each about 10 times in consecutive order before they hold the tuning. Each time you tune it will be closer to the intended tuning. You should also reset the height of the knobs on the bridge while you’re doing this. Unlock at the nut and retune with the machines on the head and then when it’s really close, use the knobs on the bridge. Here’s a good video illustrating the process:

Basically tightenimg the slring makes the bridge go downwards and loosening the spring makes the bridge go upwards

tightening the stings on the headstock makes the bridge go up to the sky , have you tried to fine tune the strings on does round nobs on the floyd rose

Ive tried the fine tuning problem is the A string fine tune nob is all the way up and still high tuned

I just loosened up the nut and put fine tune in middle then tuned it the bridge is very slightly unlevel downwards but everything is in tune … Good?

Also having old strings may be the cause of bad intonation so a change of strings may help.

Andrew is right bad intonation also can be caused by old strings. Another source of bad intonation can be that your bridge is to far back or to far to the front(with a floyd rose the place where the strings are attached

Also if change string gauges that will affect where your bridge will be so you have to adjust it with a screwdriver at back of the guitar. so at the back of the guitar you can adjust the bridge height.

They put new strings on it at the store when i took the back of and realized that all was needed was a screwdriver to loosen springs it went smoothly from there i think i understand what you mean by intonation cuz when it was tuned with the bridge down it didn’t sound just right

tuning the first time will take you hours. Once you get it down it takes minutes. People over exaggerate on roses.

if you ever want it in a certain tune next time leave a note they will do it for you cause they wasted time retuning it lol They will gladly leave it the way it is
