String action problem

What’s syns string action??
Are they low?? High??
Can anyone help me?
Also I have some troubles tapping. I have to exert a lot of pressure on the strings when I tap.
FYI I’m using the Synyster Gates Standard Schecter

I think that every player has its own string action.
I prefer mine not that close to the fretboard.
It is up to you to be honest!
Maybe you should do some tests with a luthier that can help you to low the strings.

Depends on your preferance. I use the Syn custom S and personally I like them as low as they can get while still being able to whammy up a full 7 half steps without the strings buzzing.
Just mess around and see what you like. Worth noting that different actions are preferable for certain techniques as well.
For tapping it would help if you had a video of you doing it, may ne technique, action, tone set up, etx..

@ben – SEVEN half-steps? You pull the high E string all the way up to a B without breaking it?? You sure about that?
