Yesterday was the Rare Disease Day. My son was born with a rare disease, but I am not actually writing these thoughts for you to be sorry for us (I actually hate compassion), but to share with you everything I learn from him every single day: PATIENCE-STRUGGLE-CONSISTENT WORK
One of the reasons that brought me to learn guitar was my son’s disease, because I learned that you need to take care of yourself first, to be able to be a good caretaker. Guitar is a safe place where I can get connected to myself, kind of a meditation, but very different and fun.
What I’m saying here applied to guitar is that no matter how big your frustration is when learning, no matter how tall the walls you have to break, you can make it when you use your energy to struggle every day with patience, small steps and consistent work and enjoy your learning.
Hope this makes sense to somebody here
