The Phenomenon that is Ghost Live

Can we all take a moment to appreciate what a great live band Ghost are?


I saw them live in Luxembourg yesterday and their show is just incredible. Their stage is impressive, their playing professional and crowd interaction wonderfull.
It's the small things that really stand out to me. How the Cardinal moves, how he's making jokes with the audience. One Ghoul giving an 8 year old a pick, the rhythm player trying to bro fist the other members and getting purposely ignored. Or him playing last christmas in a guitar duel. Or the Cardinal "making our asses wobble" by performing mummy dust and having a confetti canon cover us in golden confetti and 666 dollar bills.

You can think what you want about their music but it is effective for a live setting and their performance was flawless. It's no wonder to me that Metallica are Fans of Ghost as well.

Been on a total Ghost binge recently. I kinda wish I saw them live when they were much smaller and were completely mysterious (now the mystery is kinda ruined, even if I knew who Papa/Cardinal was way before it was publicly revealed).

Still I wouldn't mind seeing them now, obviously. Hopefully soon.

I saw in an arena type setting as Headliner and at Pinkpop (a dutch festival) they were great at both but the experience was a lot better inside as a headliner instead of an hour in a festival.

This is brilliant I love how he gives Life to the characters and really lives them. Really curious what they come up with next. I heard he's in the studio in spring.

The ultimate live bands, in my opinion, will always be Purple and Sabbath.
