The Stage intro (2 finger tapping)

Heya
Been working on the intro to the stage for a good while. Just started playing again after a pretty long break, so i’m at it again with this intro. I’m kind of starting to get it down now but what i’m still struggling with a bit is the 2 finger tapping stuff. Especially learning to tap with my pinky was a real pain. Don’t know how Syn got the insane idea to play something like this lol, but it sounds totally amazing so i had no choice but to try and learn it xD
Anyone else who’s working on this and want to share their agony with me? haha..

I would say Jak’s advice on stuff like that is really on the mark. Understand the techniques you need to learn and master BEFORE you tackle the piece, and it will be a lot less frustrating. I’ve never been a tapping fan, and I have a lot of other stuff higher on my priorities list, so The Stage will be waiting quite a long time.

Hey there!
I tried to learn the intro myself and it was a pain in the butt! But I never really had pinky problems on the intro. Also as I really can’t two finger tap yet I just used my middle finger to slide where a two finger tap would’ve been needed.
There’s also a video of me trying from a while ago. I’ll see if I can find it

Here it is. Also the stretch I do here with my playing hand is another “incorrect” way of playing it. Syn plays that part on the g and b string
