Have any of you tried to play guitar after you donate blood? Cause I donated this morning and I’m sitting down to play and I can’t play worth a crap lol. Even after 15 minutes of warming up. Nothing is in sync like it used to be, I hope this goes away soon
I tried to play guitar after I got a big ass tattoo on my right front arm. I then stopped and said to myself that it would be better to wait a couple days the time it heals a bit. It sucked, it was annoying but it gets better fast hahaha
Your heart will create the pint fairly quickly, but it will use nutrients and stuff to do it, so you need to replenish. Once you drink a lot of water (or Gatorade) and eat a few healthy things, you’ll be back on top.
I injured myself last summer and lost a decent amount of blood. I was the same way after getting back. It sucks but there’s nothing to be done unfortunately than drink plenty of water and get some rest
Donating plasma and donating blood wreck havoc on your ability to play guitar. Believe me lol! That was actually one of the reasons why I decided against donating plasma. I know it sounds selfish but I’m really prone to dehydration. And plasma donation really dehydrates you more than anything else. I didn’t feel like feeling like I was dead for 1 week
Not to sound weird, but being a woman i deal at that for about 3 days out of the month
Eat lots of red meat and wild rice to get your iron content backup! Drink lots of water to make sure you’re not going into dehydration. Get good potassium and other electrolytes as well, you’ll be fine
Yeah it’s weird, all my speed and everything I had before just went out the window haha. I guess I’ll just play slower paced things for now until I get my levels back up
