Storytelling

Good afternoon friends! This is a chord progression that i LOVE and i wanted to share it with everyone; i love jazzy sounding stuff that also retains a level of harmonic stability and this walks that line well in my opinion. Eb - Eb7 - Dbmaj7 - Dbm6 - Abmaj7 - Abm6 - F7 - Bb7 or I - I7 - bVII - bvii - IV - iv - II7 - V7 it’s kinda like half way between Eb and Ab! the Dbm6 functions as the minor 4 chord of Ab and the Abm6 pulls back to the Eb (as it is it the minor 4 if Eb) BUT turns around to the classic V7 of V7 before we actually get to Eb so to me the progression itself feels like a story just waiting for you and I to express ourselves over it! You can get really cool altered sounds over the final Bb7 by playing a B Lydian chord over it to really hammer it home to that Eb
the last one i swear, for now >:) this little thing has like an A and B section, it all in Db but the A section feels like Db major and B section feels like Bb minor, the relative minor of Db major! the triplet rhythm in the left hand make me feel like i’m at sea or a pirate or some shit. yar har fiddely dee. A: Db - Eb - Gb - Ab B: Bbm - Ab - Gb - Ab

Wizard Jazz in Gm

An idea i haven’t been able to do ANYTHING with but it’s a sweet chord progression Gm7 - Cm7b5 - Gm7 - D7 - Eb6 - Gm7 - Eb6 - Gm7

Staring at the Moon

i hate singing in front of people but this is all about growth so… 😣 this is part of the first real song i ever wrote! the verse progression is pretty interesting imo because it feels really long but it’s not that weird C - Cadd9 - E7 - Am - Dm - Dm7/C - G/B - G7

Yeehaw in Em

some shredding style improv over a Em - B7 - C - C track i made, sorry for potato quality i only have an iphone to record with

Wasted Time

a little finger style riff in Dm, starts on the IV chord with the #11. bunny kept making noises :0

It Don’t Matter

A little Ab -Eb - Bb - Cm or G7 riff; IV - I - V - vi or III7! I’ve always loved starting melodic parts on the IV chord; it makes the harmony have lots of momentum in my opinion
