Ohne Dich Cover

So after taking another break due to mental health and family issues, I am back! And I figured I would come back with a song I have been listening too quite a bit recently, Ohne Dich, by Rammstein. I also wanted to challenge myself on the clean sections so I finger picked the clean sections, which was challenging as I suck at finger picking. Now I still cannot edit videos to save my life, so the video might be a bit choppy, and the audio might not be quite so good, but hey I tried. All in all this was extremely fun to do and was a ncie way to ease back into recording videos :)
So..it's been a while. I have been in just the most horrible of moods, and just an awful mindset as of late, and it was because of that, that I lost the fire for playing and so I just took a bit of a break from well everything. But I'm back, and hopefully in a better mindset. I wanted to do a simple song to ease back into things and get back into playing, and I have been listening to a shit ton of Rammstein lately, so I figured why not cover one of my favorite songs from them, Ich Will. Now I apologize for the audio being off-kilter in some sections and just kinda off, I still don't know what I'm doing when it comes to audio syncing sometimes. But this was fun to do, and was a good way to ease back into playing!
Hello, so this is a bit of a filler video. I kind of disappeared for the last week and kind of took a week off of guitar, due to personal shit going on in my life, which is something I seldom do. So this is just something to ease me back into playing and whatnot. I decided to rerecord the first actual cover I did, like with actual music in the background, since 2 months have passed and I play this song a little differently now. Again, it is a filler video, but one I had fun doing regardless :)
So here is a bit of a filler video. I decided to remake my cover of Halestorm's "Do Not Disturb" I decided to remake it as I have made a few changes to how I played it and since it has been a month since I posted it, I thought I would share the kinda improved version. Thought it was nice to see the progress made even if it is small!
So this is just a very simple cover I recorded just to get back into the swing of recording covers. This was a very simple song to learn, but very fun to learn, so this was a blast to play along to, so yeah needless to say I had fun just recording this and just playing it haha.
So I have no idea what to title this, but this is just a little riff idea I had for a song I'm writing. I took a few days rest to..well rest my wrist, so this was just something easy to ease back into playing. Now I have no idea what the hell I'm doing when it comes to writing original riffs, but this was relaxing and fun to do regardless! Also apologies for the quiet audio, I thought I had boosted the audio enough, but it is fairly quiet, so apologies for that again!
So, the first actual Avenged solo that I was able to record a somewhat clean version of! Now I know this is one of the easier solos, but still a huge leap for me from where I started. Now the audio quality isn't that great, so I apologize for that as even now I still have no idea what the hell I'm doing when it comes to editing and sound quality, but this was fun to learn and do regardless!
So I am practicing the first solo in Critical Acclaim. As silly as it might seem I have been trying to learn this since fucking January, so I'm proud I can play it! Figured I would try to learn and focus on the first solo before I even attempt the second solo. Now of course I messed up on some sections, cause again I freeze up during recordings, but I still had fun trying, and of course it is always nice to see improvement from January.
I finally posted a cover for once haha. I decided to take a crack at doing the rhythm guitar parts of Do Not Disturb by Halestorm. No I picked this song, because this was the first song I started trying to learn by ear, without using a tab, and I was proud of the fact I was able to do so. No the audio be a bit off and if it is I apologize for that, I again am not good with editing videos. And of course I messed up a few sections as I again seem to forget all guitar knowledge the moment I record, but I had fun regardless!
So this is the first Avenged Sevenfold solo I ever attempted learning. I started trying to learn this all the way back in December. I still am not the best at it andstill need to work on it, and get up to speed a bit, but I can definitely see improvment from December. I apologize for not adding the music in the background I still have to get some things fix so I can edit, plus it will give me a chance to work on it some more. But yeah I'm definitely glad to see even the slightest bit of improvement
So I wanted to practice this cause I feel like I need to improve on alternate picking. It is of course slow cause I didnt want to rush through it. I made a few errors cause I not only get nervous in front of the camera still, but my pinky finger is still weak so training that bad boy up. But all in all, can't wait till I'm able to play this a little faster!
Final day of this challenge! I want to challenge myself on this one, so I tried to incorperate some tapping in there. I know I am very weak in that area, so I wanted to try and take this chance to practice that. All in all this challenge was fun to do! It allowed me to make stuff of my own, something I had been afraid of doing, so I enjoyed this challenge!
Day 5 of this challenge. Can't believe I'm almost finished with it. I didn't really have a set plan with this one, I just kinda winged it and tried to have fun with, but I managed to compelte this day regardless!
Day 4 of this challenge! Probably my least favorite string, the accursed G-string. That said I tried to use my pinky more in this riff, trying to subconsciously incorperate my pinky into more works and train it up a bit. Had fun with this one actually!
Day three of the one string challenge! I'm slowly getting better at recording myself, and not messing up quite as much. Still messed up a bit, but am slowly getting better!
Day 2 of the one string challenge. I almost forgot to do this one as some personal shit happened, but I managed to do so nonetheless. I of course messed up some minor parts as again I was very nervous, but am still having fun doing this regardless!
So I thought I would take a crack at the one string challenge. I thought it would be a good chance to practice doing some riffs of my own. Now as always I got very nervous so I of course messed up on my own damn riff, but what can ya do. Also this may be of a lesser quality since this isnt edited and is taken off of my phone since my editing computer completely died on me, but I look forward to doing more of this challenge!
Practicing the first half of Bat Country. It has been roughly a month since I first started trying to learn this track. I still get so nervous when recording so there are some minor fuck ups in there, not to mention I still have no idea what I'm doing when editing these videos, but still an improvement over when I first started trying to learn it!
This is the first guitar cover I have ever done. I don't really know what I am doing when it comes to making a cover video, but I had fun doing it! I am still very nervous when recording myself playing, so I may have made some errors, but I had fun regardless.
