How to Hold The Guitar Properly – Lesson 2

Classical style will give you better access to the upper frets as the angle of the neck will be better (and essentially similar to when you're standing). Having it on your strum leg can be more comfortable and as Ed Says (tm) it's more relaxed playing around a campfire/casual etc. The...

Pain in fretting hand wrist + picking consistency at higher speeds

Your thumb is too high, you need to slide it lower. The other part is I see your wrist is slightly kinked left/right to your forearm, see if you can move the neck further forward to help with that angle.

b flat minor to be more correct.

someone smart will know what scale this seems to be dancing around on, and probably identify the exact names of the chords shapes you are using but essentially you're playing with the d-minor scale, as far as I can tell it's mostly sitting in D minor with parts of a F major and a B flat.

if you're unhappy with the lead, something you could try is to play the song without the lead, and add fills like as if you were jamming to the song as a backing track. I do this when I'm jamming with mates and coz I don't have very good eyesight can't see the the chords they have on the songs...

It was towards the end of it. It felt like the singer and lead guitarist (yes I know both you heh) trying to stand out the front going LOOK AT ME, NO LOOK AT ME ! Whereas I think a little bit of space between the two would mean neither feel like they're fighting for attention. I might be too...

My thought with this is "less is more", I think the drums are a little over complicated and don't let the rest of the song do it's thing. Perhaps a bit less volume might be the winner here.. I find that symbol being a bit "OMG I"M HERE NOW" :)

I like what you're doing. I think you should try stripping back the drums a bit (it sounds like you're using your kick like a tom tom), perhaps also consider adding a little more air, I think the vocals and lead fills tend to fight for space against each other.

Considering Giving Up On Lead Guitar....

I use 8s and 9s.. granted I'm in standard tuning most of the time. If you do change your gauge lower, then it's probably worth having your action and intonation looked at if you can't do that yourself. With respect to solo-ing vs rhythm.. well.. there's no reason to do both.. when I'm...

Just A Personal Thought About The School Rebranding ...

isn't anyone else wondering what @Radu-Cristian Perde offers on his onlyfan's account ? That's probably why I lost so many subscribers on my fansly account..

Oh I even ment when you are standing. It's a little bit like putting your foot on your amp or chair. It gives you that extra stability when you need to dig in, then after that bit of done you return to dancing around the floor, swaying, avoiding the dog eating your shoes etc

You might benefit from a foot stool or something for when you're doing the faster stuff.. might make it easier to both position your leg and guitar so you aren't reaching so much when you're doing the 16th notes. I use one of these super sexy things..

When Is It Time To "Move On" With What You're Practicing?

I tend to park songs and pick them up again a long time later.. it's worked with a few songs where it's sort of dawned on me what the player was trying to do or why they do it a certain way and then makes it easier for me to remember. However, I'm not remotely planning on being a note perfect...

    Why can't I do this?

Disclaimer: there are much better soloists here than me So sounding disjointed and having no flow is more going to be about your rhythm than the notes you are playing. As PG's video and others have mentioned, that fourth note in the 6 notes of soloing is your root note (the key of the song)...
