    A gentle way to get rid of the stickyness of the gloss on your neck is to use a green scotch bright scourer against it. That will scuff up the gloss so the neck feels fast, but if you do want to restore it back to gloss, you just need to polish it. You can see the results here...

    Finger is muting string while Playing chords.

    Practice makes your chord changes more effective/easier. Also if you're a new guitarist.. consider having the action checked/fixed on your guitar. If the action is high it can be difficult to get those chords to work, especially bar chords like 'F'.
