How to get "feel" in your playing??

what you can also try is. Play a lick, anything small enough…again and again and again…not for practising..to see if it has some hidden melody..something which you feel/ or can hear in your mind but is not exactly what you are playing..if you have not done it before, it will take time. Don’t...

    Flying with a guitar

If you have a really hard case for your guitar, you can put it in the cargo. To do that, you MUST have a hard case. Otherwise, take it with you in the plane. While boarding, tell the air hostess, if she can find a free cabin to keep your guitar. Does not matter if its away from you. Make sure...

    Acoustic Guitar Recomendations

Depends what kind of sound you like. I would suggest Fender acoustic guitars. They have a nice fuller, bright sound and also sound nice on solos. Not too expensive too. I bought one about 2 years age and loved it since then.

    Guess That Riff

This sounds so familiar but can’t put my finger on it. This style of riff is pretty particular to the band. That’s all I can say

    I am trying something

I was going to do exactly that. I do not have a bass player here who would jam with me on a regular basis and record with me. So I have no choice, as of now. Thanks Ids

How to get "feel" in your playing??

Try listening to other guitarists who are known to put tons of “feel” in their playing. David Gilmour, Mark Knophler etc. Play with the solos, jam with the songs. Slowly you will see results. I was exactly at your position 2 years back and my process and still working on it.

    I am trying something

So people, I am finally trying to “grow” my YouTube music channel and have found something to work on. I have some instrumental song ideas. So basically I will post a full rock/metal composition (only guitars and drums) every week (sort of Angel Vivaldi type music, heard of him??). Any...

Is my octave chords bad? How can I improve?

The sound cloud clip sounds OK. One thing though…I am hearing the notes of the same octave chord at slight different times. I don’t know if its my faulty earphones or not.

    Jak's challenge

wow..nice track Ids. Love its feel. I have never jammed with such tracks. I will try if I can. Definitely a nice challenge.

Is my octave chords bad? How can I improve?

You can try one more thing..its technically not plying an octave chord but….first record the lower notes separately…then record upper notes separately..see if this double tracking thing sounds better for you

Why your improv isn't as bad as you think

I so much agree with your recovery lesson 😀😀. The best part is, normal listeners will consider you sort of genius for making that unexpected bend to reach the right note. so true

Why your improv isn't as bad as you think

You actually made your point: it’s not that bad as you think. I loved 2:15-3:00 best. Everyone in this forum who is shy enough to not post regularly their videos, should watch this.

a little help for a member frustrated with his guitar

Starting to do killer improvs partially depends on learning scales (maybe), partially depends on how freely are you playing. It will happen. You will see that whatever you are playing may not always sound as good as you wanted. Just keep playing. Sit with your guitar and do loads of mistakes...
