Music that deeply touched me: The Batman Soundtrack!

Great write up, Rad man! I felt a really strong tie from the opening piano chords of the Batman's theme to the Nirvana song used in the beginning, almost like he was building off of that and taking it in his own way. I hear hints of some of the great modern soundtrack masters, Hans Zimmer and...

    I have a big problem

This is LIKELY what you need. https://www.floydrose.com/products/push-in-rail-tail-set-screw I'm assuming it fell out while you were working on the guitar and it got lost in the carpet. Use a flashlight and an old hairbrush to try and find it, or empty the bin on your vacuum cleaner and...

Comment by 'Ed Seith' in media 'Storytelling'

There's a hint of the Eagles "Desperado" in there. Very pretty. Nice playing!

    Guitar Baby Chords for Kids

Wow! Very impressive! I wish I had started playing so young and with such help from my family. You are very lucky!

    Action

If you hold down the first fret and the highest fret on the low E string, you should just about be able to slide the edge of a credit card in the gap at the 12th fret. Maybe a little more on an acoustic (a thin pick on a premium electric). Since you don't have three arms (that I'm aware of), a...

    Guitar Bending strings question

Push one up into the other and then they're both bending. You don't need to keep them separated.

A Lesson About Art, Enjoyment, and Fulfillment from Kurt Vonnegut (author)

Any time, brother. I needed it too, and that's why I decided to share it. It's easy to get so caught up in our natural inclination to compare and compete that we forget the part that's most important - the joy of expression and creativity, just for itself.

Question about titles under the name

No problem at all! If you buy a day pass, then yes, you'd have to buy one every time you wanted to attend a Legend+ stream. If you go monthly or annually, then all of them would be included for the entire month or year.

Question about titles under the name

Correct. There are day passes available if one doesn't want to pay for a monthly or annual membership, but Syn and PG *will* be going live on a more regular basis soon.

Question about titles under the name

So far, all the livestreams not by Syn or Papa Gates have been open and free, and can be re-watched at any time. In the near future, we can expect Syn and PG to do much more regular livestreaming (tech details still being worked out to make it fast and easy for them), and I believe most or all...

A Lesson About Art, Enjoyment, and Fulfillment from Kurt Vonnegut (author)

In 2006 a high school English teacher asked students to write a famous author and ask for advice. Kurt Vonnegut was the only one to respond - and his response is magnificent: “Dear Xavier High School, and Ms. Lockwood, and Messrs Perin, McFeely, Batten, Maurer and Congiusta: I thank you for...

Share with me your pick of destiny!

I just did something I've never done - I ordered D'Addario picks to try. I think I've always used Dunlop because they were the "Default" and I kinda forgot other major brands even made picks. I ordered some .80 "Black Ice" picks, which are a tortex-like material and roughly Jazz III sized. I...

    Introducing myself

Welcome, Sylvie! I'm excited for all the triumph and heartbreak you have ahead of you, joining your first band. It is so much work, and so much BABYSITTING (drummers and singers, FFS), but it's all SO WORTH IT. Enjoy and learn!
