I've Got a REALLY Exciting Idea!!

Hey guys and dolls! I’m still waiting on a few more videos for this student submission thing for the improvement project. So that’s kind of on hold for a bit. But I can tell you this so far…
WOW
I tell you what…
WOW!!!
You all should feel VERY proud of yourselves!
Now on to my exciting idea. I always am trying to think of ways to engage everyone. And let’s be real, the Halloween song idea was EPIC. I think I may save them all to my computer and put them together as a little rhapsody for next year. But anyway, I’ve noticed that the riff section is still not allowing comments. And I personally feel that because of that, it has slowed down. I want people to be excited to post their stuff. AAANNNDD…. I think this idea would also encourage us to kind of get to know each other and bond with each other more. So here’s my idea…
One person nominates one student to post a video to THIS FORUM PAGE specifically. That way, the followers of this page can see it and we ALL give feedback. THEN, that person who posted their video nominates another student. It can be anything from rhythm, an original lick, a riff, a solo, a chord progression. ANYTHING. I really think this may encourage a broader range of skill level posting. Also, we should message that person some way shape or form to know that they have been chosen for the task. What do you guys think?
Well, I’m going to take a shot because I’m excited!!! (and because I’m a Pokemon fan I’ll do this Pokemon style)
Rowan, I choose you!

Hello Jak!!
How are you doing ?
I really like this idea!
I suggest that we not only use this method while the comments are down, but also forever haha.
For me at least, having a forum topic dedicated for a person to express itself it is great.
And also it is a way to challenge the next person in the chain. Sometimes people can be shy ( like me ) .
I think that it keep things fresh and running !!!
Also, when a person really needs help with something, it can create a forum topic to receive some critics and tips on its playing. Regardless if this person has been challenged.

Hi, guys! Apologies for the late post. I’ve been holding all of you up it seems…I’ve been going through a lot of things lately, so this video is something I thought was just important to address and is just a tiny something I’ve been working on creating. I think it’s crucial that music has no definitive form and is very much a stress-reliever. It connects people no matter what. I felt a lot of pressure as a beginner, but I really didn’t want to show off something Syn or someone else has already done. So I’ve decided to share a few of my thoughts that are close to heart and a small riff of something I’ve been trying to work on. I hope you all enjoy it and sincerest apologies if it really sucks. Thank you Jak for always believing in me. Ids, can I nominate you, please?

@rowan You seriously are so wonderful. I love how raw, open, and expressive you are with sharing your hardships. “You don’t have to be a professional player to just pick up the guitar and play around. If it’s something that you’re passionate about, just do it.” I…LOVE…YOU
At this point, it’s so hard for me to even try to give you feedback on your playing because I feel like your words you spoke are completely invaluable. I know you have a lot of stress going on, and I completely ADORE the fact that you took time out to reach out to us and connect with us through your words and your riff. I love the fact when you said, “I didn’t want to do something like another A7X cover that has already been done before.” PLEASE don’t lose this mindframe. It’ll keep you 100% unique.
As far as my actual feedback goes, I would love to see you join a punk rock band. It would be so cool to see you let out all those things you have to say. If you don’t have anyone you can start with, just write your lyrics and keep writing your music. Keep up with it! As far as helpful criticism goes, when you play that really cool lead part at 1:24, try not to bend your middle knuckle so far down, and try to keep it in line with the rest of your fingers but just hovering over the strings 🙂 really glad to see you working on your own stuff!!!
