Hi there! I’m 24 and have been playing guitar for 8 years now, but only in my last year of playing guitar I feel I can finally tackle A7x leads. I discovered A7x in the game Need For Speed Most Wanted with the song Blinded in Chains.

Hi all, I’m 43 and live in Scotland. Fairly new to playing guitar, I was a drummer in various local Heavy Metal bands for more years than I care to remember and had to retire from drumming due to my knees being wrecked so I figured I’d learn to play the guitar to carry on my musical journey. I own a Chapman ML-1 (Original run) and an Epiphone Slash AFD Les Paul Special II

Hello everyone! Glad to be apart of this awesome site.
I am 41 and have pretty much been playing guitar off an on my whole life. I love guitar and can’t get enough of it. Wish life would give me more time to focus on it. I love all kinds of music. From Amadeus to Slayer to you name it. Ever since I was a kid I have felt music.
I think I got my first drum set when I was 4. I have many amps and guitars. To many guitars to count and have 2 more on order. I don’t really have a favorite I just like may options cause you never know what might spark the creative juices.
I post covers of bands and musicians I love on youtube. I have a lot of my own songs. Some kinda done some a work in progress. I don’t care to ever make it in the music world. Of course it’s a dream of mine but I play because it’s what finally stops the world for me.
Thank you so much Papa and Syn Gates for this site! I hope to get the most I can out of these lessons and to meet some really cool people along the way!

    Hey there,
I’m Dominik, 19 years old and, guess what, Syn was one of the main reasons/ Idols that inspired me to start playing guitar (well and my younger brother, as he got a guitar he barely played).
I’ve been playing for I think three years now without any knowledge of music theory whatsoever. So basicly I was teaching myself the stuff I want to lern with videos and tabs. But fortunately I have the school and hopefully you guys to help start playing my serious! 🙂

    Well hello there!
I’m Danny, close to hitting 29 and I live in Oslo, Norway.
I can’t remember a time not playing guitar. I won’t pull up my entire lifestory, but I didn’t start playing seriously until I hit 12.
You know when you’re sat in your room at 12, spending endless nights browsing the web? It’s mostly porn of course, but I browsed for all these horrible transcriptions of Metallica-songs and what have you like most of us did. Living in Norway as an aspiring guitarist you tend to get drawn towards the whole black metal thing and all these kinds of genres. Now I appreciate a lot of jazz, metal, old school rock.
Gearwise I mostly play Ibanez, I got two seven stringed beasts, a RG1527 and a RG7420 with DiMarzios and one six stringed RGD2120 (the cobweb finish one) through a Hughes & Kettner/Blackstar-rig. Love it!
Oh, and I also play in a band called Beyond The Barricade mostly based in the metalgenre but we’re open for mixing and borrowing from other stuff. We are in the midst of recording our first album, hoping to release it sometime in April/May.
Well, that’s me, I don’t know what else to say.
Oh and I’m a big fan of comicbooks, long walks on the beach and collecting spearmint flavoured toothpaste.

I am 29. I have been playing for almost 17 years now. I play guitar, trumpet, banjo, mandolin, and bass. I have been a big A7X fan since I first heard them in high school right when waking the fallen came out. I currently play a PRS standard 22 and Gibson Les Paul studio. I am married and have 2 rough collies.

    Hello!
I’m 50, I’m from Belgium, and I play guitar for 3 years. I play on several Fender stratocaster/Telecaster, the next will probably be The Schecter Synyster Gates Custom S.
My godson, 16 years old, let me discover A7X 3 years ago, and I became a big Fan of the band and specially of the Synyster guitar playing!
Good WE everybody, have a great day…

    Hello, I’m Tristan from France
I’m 19 and I started playing with Rocksmith… And I still play on it ^^
I’m about 500+ hours spent on this game, that I bought in April 2015. Since I learned not that much theory but developed my musical ear so deep.
I can now play Avenged Sevenfold and Dream Theater songs, and I start playing their solos (soli ?)
I rock with an EX-50 w/ EMG 81/85, a Schecter Synyster Special featuring a fucked Floyd (need to replace it, and a Dimarzio Illuminator for the neck pickup), a china copy strat with custom pickups made in china (this one is just for customizing it, I will put a scalloped neck on it soon).
For the amps, I play on Amplitube, Bias FX or Rocksmith, but my dream amp would be a Hughes&Kettner Grandmeister Deluxe 40, everything in it, just need some wah and whammy in front of it, and a volume pedal in the loop… And you are ready for concert and for recording home 😛

    Hi there…
    I’m 25 and I’m from Portugal.
I’ve been a fan of A7x for 8 years now, and I started playing guitar around that time, as an hobby.
I had guitar lessons for 2 years but most of what I know about music is self-thaught… Until now.
I didn’t really had any motivation to practice because I don’t play in a band, but this School is just what I needed to push me one step forward.
    Thank you…

Hey guys, I’m 28 years old from Japan, have been playing the guitar since 14.
I’ve played in my own band for about 5 years, and have had 4 years of blank until May 2017.
I got really excited when I saw the news posted on facebook about Syn creating online guitar school, and I am happy to join the community from the very beginning.

    Hi all
I am 42 going on 43 been playing guitar for a couple of years but not much lately, I had been trying to find some one to teach me but when you work 12 days on 2 off it gets hard to find time so I thought I had nothing to lose by trying to learn this way. I am not the most confedent player and I would have no idea of how I would even make a video of my playing or even what I would need to do so to post it on this site but even if I do not post my playing I am hoping that I can still learn from the tutorials here.
I will look forward to chating with you all!
