So here is my homework. This week I was searching for stuff that sounded the way I wanted. But it didn’t went that well. Tried so many things but here is my video.

Hey guys really sorry I havent been on for a couple weeks I was busy with exams
All of your guys’s solos and riffs are so cool!
I’ll start working on mine, @jak just for clarification do you mean each time the chords change you play the same “six magic note” riff according to each chord, or do you keep playing the same riff in the same spot even if it is a different chord, sorry if thats a stupid question

Evan-If you look at the 6 magical notes you can probably recognize a very familiar scale in it. Maybe that helps

oh okay yeah its just using the g position pentatonic,
but like lets say im playing in the key of Am and then the chord changes to a C can i still play the notes that correspond to the Am chord or do i need to switch to notes in the C major scale?

Simply put C is the relative major of Am so(and A is relative minor of C) so yes you can use it. A bit more advanced thing to say would be that C is a substitution of Am7 so yes you can definitely use it.

@calvin Thanks! TBH I’m not exactly sure how the video was recording the audio, I think it was getting both the built-in mic and some direct from amplitube–I’m still working understanding all the settings while recording video.

The way I record you dont hear me just the amp. That’s why I type my stuff out or just do a separate take with my phone.

I chose a 12 bar blues progression in C. Chords are C7, F7 & G7 respectively.
6 Magic notes:
C7= F G Bb C Eb F
F7= Bb C Eb F Ab Bb
G7= C D F G Bb C

I’d love to see some videos of you guys giving these simple eludes a shot. Tapping personally isn’t my speciality. This is I think the first real tapping riff I made up honestly in 12 years.
