Horizontal Pivots are much harder than their Vertical siblings but you can cover a much greater amount of fretboard with this approach.
Just like the Vertical Pivots, Horizontal Pivots should be the supporting cast to a well crafted solo that focuses on strong melody, style, and motif.
Also, you can and you should apply these exercises and techniques to other scales and their respective modes. Simply learning this Etude “as is” will not help you very much if at all to be honest. Just like language, you don’t just simply learn words. You work on applying them in sentences and then paragraphs eventually writing your entire story.
