A little Ab -Eb - Bb - Cm or G7 riff; IV - I - V - vi or III7! I’ve always loved starting melodic parts on the IV chord; it makes the harmony have lots of momentum in my opinion

I tried out borrowing chords from a parallel key. I wasn’t sure what to play over it so I stuck with G major, a dorian shape, and E minor.
Note to self:G C Bb B 3x Eb D.
