Just a little experiment I had in mind. Coincidentally that is the song I learned in my very first Jam session with a good buddy of mine!

Adieu - Error

Check out the final song of off the Directile Dysfunction EP!
Getting in the habit of just rambling and showing my thought process. Maybe it helps others struggeling with the lessons. This is just me tracing back where the F chord and Pentatonic scale PG showed us is coming from.

Here's my brief take on lesson 53, plus some questions I've got (at the end of the vid!). Not gonna lie, today was a bit rough because I started to doubt myself a little in terms of my ability, so I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. Hopefully I'll be able to push that aside and press on tomorrow. If anyone can give me some advice or critique my current playing technique (picking hand, fretting hand, guitar positioning, anything like that), please do so. It's been driving me crazy today as I just don't know whether I'm on the right track. Cheers all!
Legato exercises ! I had to have a little fun and see how fast I could do it with my “strong fingers” towards the end 😂
Had to upload it via Youtube...instagram does not allow me to post it here, dont know why.
I have so much to learn. Recorded three chords, D, C and G and tried to solo over them in one position. I tried my best to get some embellishments in there and some double stops as PG suggests, but it is a lot to do for me at once.
So here's me showing you one of my favorite Metallica licks and breaking it down. It's taken from the song "My Apocalypse" and has some interesting things going on. In fact it's so tricky that Kirk Hammett stated he needs to practice it a lot so he won't mess it up live. Hope you enjoy and I would love to see you try it!
Short 30second clip. I’m doing a legato exercise jak taught me without a pick, then using my pick minimally, and doing the whole lick. I’m repeating this over and over. Also I am checking my bends but I forgot to show that. Trying to get those right too before I move on to the next section.
Repost of material lost in the site update. Not bad for only getting 2 minutes to warm up lol
Repost since this was removed with the site update. My first time performing in over a year, and my first attempt at this monster of a song! I was expecting to have at least 30 minutes to warm up for the 2 son...
Repost of old material that was lost in the site upgrade. Very proud of what I achieved, even though I learned the middle of the solo is totally wrong LOL
Here it is, my first original lick - using lesson 52! I know it's not the greatest, it's not shredding and some of it is probably kinda boring, but I'm proud of the progress I've managed to make! Who knew it could be so tough writing a lick over one chord! It's not complete, I improvised the ending because I'd spent all day writing and just kinda burnt out and wanted to jam it already. With that though, I really hope you like it!

Polyphia - G.O.A.T Riff

Dis is sum hard riff.
Some time ago I created a sweep exercised based around the Am pentatonic scale. As @[223:@Millie Imber] took my advice and is attempting to write her own licks and improve her sweeping I made this short video about my sweep exercise.
Mind that you can shift chords in a way that it is still the same chord, but also by using the same shape and making it a bar chord, you can shift it just like with scales. Eg. moving the C shape up to frets would give you a D chord. That might have been a bit misleading in my video. Was not sure if I should upload this. I feel like I know what I am doing but can't bring it well to the camera. Let me know if it made sense to you.
