Happy Friday Ya’ll ! While you’re on your guitar journey don’t forget to HAVE FUN ! Play something you love! Don’t worry about the “perfect take” or angle, just plug in and go ! When I’ve had a bad day…or few bad days, I like to play. Even if it’s shit and you look ridiculous …just fucking play ! It’ll make your soul happy 💕
Improvisation over the jazz standard "all the things you are"

Love this one because it was part of my childhood, reminds me when I was 12 playing Guitar Hero 3, actually it's harder on GH3 than it is on the real guitar ...
This time I´m constantly watching the laptop screen because this standard has a lot of different chords and i didn´t learn all the harmony of the song
issuing myself another 30 day challenge take 1
It seems that since the last time I entered the SynGates school the jazz section for the student media has been deleted so I´m just going to upload my jazz improvisation/practice in the riff section. This one is an improvisation over "Straight no Chaser" by Thelonius Monk
Hi everyone! A while ago I promised that I was going to be more active in the SynGates school...this time I promise that I´m just not going to dissapeard from here XD. So around two years ago I had the intenton to take an access exam to be admited in a jazz school, I even asked for some help here in the SynGates school, but I failed that exam and I had to look for a b plan, so I got into musicology and I studied it for one year and I didn´t like it at all, I left the carreer and I came back home to study for a year to apply for the same exam that I failed two years ago, which is the situation that I´m currently in, waiting for summer to come to repeat that exam(Im actualy planning to also repeat the same exam in other jazz schools). I´m studing jazz every single day and this video is kind of the techical level i´m currently on, it is an improvisation over a jazz standard called "solar"

Tried what Jeremy suggested Noticed I'm not accenting, in general I'm working on a firm grip and keeping the sound consistent. I thought it good being I'm still kind of new to this. Couldn't sync with the metronome today and it's chaotic again. If anyone has tips thanks a bunch! Maybe on accents or how to time my fills. I have like 4 or 5 now and a few beats I can switch into. Oh yeah, after this I practiced it counting aloud to get the kick placement right. I counted to 4, 3 times then counted to 3, 4 times and kicking on the 1 then the 2 then the 3 to get the timing. Had a bit of trouble reading the document. Cheers!
Keeping the kick on every 4th beat while switching the accent on the snare from every 4th beat to every 3rd beat! All about separation and control. My non accent notes could be a bit quieter

Harmonics Practice

Didn't know what parts to highlight. Had a rhythm practice session too. Still working on holding the pick cause I hold it differently depending on what I'm playing and trying to find a median. Plugged into my amp only and using the .73 nylon ( I think ) picks Towards the end I left some riffing parts from Master of Puppets and The Day That Never Comes, derivatives
