Riffs

This is my attempt at one of my favorite A7X solos and one of the hardest thing's I've ever played in my life! It's still a work in progress...enjoy! (I had to improvise some bits as my strat doesn't have enough frets to get everything in the solo haha!)
Wanted to cover this for a while! I use this piece as a warm-up and general practice piece anytime I play because it's great for stretching, sliding, and especially vibrato! I'll post a tab shortly once I write it all down, as I worked it out by ear originally! If there's any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer, and if you give this a go, let me know how it works for you! :) Audio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY8l5zgCc5E
A day late due to finishing up college stuff, but here's my next part of my CAGED System understanding! A lot of rambling and going back and forth here as I try to make sure I know what I'm doing and talking about, but I think I got there eventually! Now I just gotta expand and experiment with changing positions and switching between pentatonics and arpeggios, you can do that right? If there's anything I've missed or gotten wrong, please let me know! I wanna be able to get the knowledge down so I can start trying things out, learning and doing better! Also, I really need to use Dark Star more often, this guitar's got such a nice sound that I've overlooked forever!
Started with the Blues Lessons but felt I have yet a lot to learn before attempting to write some good Blues and Motifs myself. It's easier with metal cause I listen to that a lot and already know how to play a few metal songs. So I thought to get a better understanding of Motifs I gotta learn some, starting with the intro to John Mayer's Gravity (Live in LA). Figured it out by watching someone play it and using my previously gained knowledge to quickly tap into the G Major Pentatonic scale. This is my result after working on it after two days I believe.

A silly idea

Always wanted to solo on top of Synysters Gates' solo in the spirit of the original track. I highly suggest anyone to try this if their inspiration is out of whack like mine 99% of time.
Posted in the forums awhile ago asking if the arpeggios in the Bat Country solo were sweep picked or alternate picked and a lot of people said it was actually picked so I've been practicing a little everyday and this is what I have so far. The first half is what I can play at a comfortable speed and the second is my attempt at full speed. The second arpeggio is what I need to work on the most for sure.

Having fun with this beautiful song

By The Way - tutorial

Tutorial for By The Way by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

By the way - Analysis

Analysis of by the way by the red Hot Chili Peppers. Basically did the usual thing which is looking at the chord progression and looking for plagal and perfect cadences. Since this song isn't that complicated It's a lot shorter than usual

For my homework I really was supposed to focus on incorporating more bends and including a lick he taught me in a written solo. I hope you like it! Feedback encouraged🤗🇺🇲🤗

I decided to post a video of the process of me learning and cleaning up /tightening a new technique. This one I admit I am still having some trouble with but am getting the hang of. real tricky for me to get the two highest notes out and sweep back down through this one but just needs repetition. My muscles are used to other sweeping shapes and this one definitely will pay off to sound better having the notes all picked, but damn. totally explains why nobody else could play The Wicked End solo correctly 😂😂 will be practicing this one again.
Finally back to playing now that my chest ins't trying to end me XD. Thought I'd go back to the CAGED system as I've covered it briefly before but wanted to really work on making sure I understand how it works and how I can use it! Here, I go over the chord shapes and how moving the shapes to different positions creates other chords, and how this process can create all of the chords in different places! I apologise if my words don't make sense, it sounded better in my head. I also apologise for my sucky knowlegde of some chords, I'm working on doing better! So long as I've got this all right, I'll be moving onto each chord's arpeggios next, and then hoping back to scales so I don't burn out! (And hey, don't drop the ball this time, me XD)
Hey guys! I am playing solos and lead guitar on this event. Here are the things that I realized. -Even holding a guitar when you are standing is a whole different thing.I did not expect it to be hard. -Playing with other musicians helped me a lot. Even to be in rehearsals is something else rather than being at home and recording by your own. I support everyone on this to be social ,as an amateur guitar player like most of us. -Appetite for Destruction is a no filler all killer record.
This one had me going for a little over an hour and my fingers are definitely TORN up from the last few days, but well worth it. I’m starting to see the chor...
