QUESTION! Augmented Chords?
Diminished & Augmented chords are symmetrical. So each chord is just an inversion of the last. Augmented chords are built on Major 3rds. D to F# is a major 3rd. F# to A# is major 3rd. A# to D is a major 3rd – and we start all over again. So – Daug is D,F#,A#. F#aug is F#,A# & D. A#aug is A#, D &...- Brian Haner Sr.

At this point I would concentrate on playing ONLY things that make you happy. Just find the joy again. Don’t think of it as practice. You can always dig deeper if you want to. Is it even possible to do a whole step bend on the D string?
Great advice here. I have nothing to add except to say that it is completely doable on the D string – both up and down. The A & low E strings need to be bent down only.- Brian Haner Sr.

How do I start playing different styles?
I think the first place to start is ALWAYS by listening to the music you want to play. There are hundreds of blues players and many different styles under the “blues umbrella”. Pick a song you like. Find out who that guy (or girl) is, and then work on that song and that style. Just learn it one...- Brian Haner Sr.

I know Syn is in the “black hole” of touring. A place where you work 2 hours a night and think you will have all kinds of time. In reality, instead of 22 hours “off”, it feels like you have 45 minutes between shows. You’re constantly tired and can’t catch up, (except for when you’re on stage)...- Brian Haner Sr.
