Favourite A7X song at the moment for y'all?

"The Wicked End" came on shuffle today, and I was taken in all over again. The fucking batshit arrangement on that song, and Matt's overlaid vocals and ALL THE MELODIES and shit, working together. Goddamn. No pun intended.

    Long-ass Guitar Confession/Practice Advice Needed :)

Grab a generic backing track as part of one practice segment. Force yourself to solo over it. Force yourself to come up with one THEME or MOTIF that you come back to during it. Sure, it will probably suck, but if you hit that same backing track once a day for two weeks, even 5 minutes a day, you...

    Long-ass Guitar Confession/Practice Advice Needed :)

Of course it is! And really, when you segment your practice with breaks, you will learn faster, do better, and you can decide what each session will focus on. I'll be honest. If I had the absolute freedom to play guitar for 5 hours a day, I would probably stop playing guitar before long. Every...

WONDERFUL! On page 33 of your owner's manual, I says you can use a micro-USB cable to connect this amp to your computer for recording. If it's an Apple laptop, you're all set. If it's Windows, you can go here to download the ASIO driver...

What's the little black one in the middle? That's turned on during your video. What is that?

OK, so first make sure they're all turned OFF, and see if it goes away. My money is on a compressor if you've got one and it's on. After that, start removing them from the loop individually to see if any one solves the problem. Keep narrowing your focus until you've isolated the problem.

Video is great - I felt like you were listening to me tell you what to try next. GOOD JOB! Next thing I would look at is if you disconnect the effects pedals and just do guitar-cable-amp if it gets better or worse. If they're in the FX loop, it's easy, but it shouldn't be hard, either way. We...

Hi Nirmal! Sounds like your getting this song down - love it! It also looks like you have a small, modern-ish combo amp with at least some "non-amp" circuitry and you also have a laptop, which means you have a GOOD START. Please tell me what your amp is, and I will examine it's integration...

I know the one you mean - they can't all be winners, and I do my very best to avoid the "do as many takes as it takes" thing. I ain't got time for that!
