Unavoidable. There are spots of wear like that on the bridge of my $4kUS PRS. Sweat, oils, and movement do that over time, and let’s just call it “natural antiquing.” Black powdercoat finishes seem to do better than chrome or gold, but it’s pretty much inevitable.
From now until October 2, Izotope is GIVING AWAY the Ozone Elements 8.1 mastering plugin as a promo for its upcoming Ozone 9 launch. All it costs is your email address. I haven’t dove into it yet, but for anyone using a home studio, this could be a very helpful tool. It’s normally $129 and you...
DC is interesting historically no matter who sits at the top of the American food chain. My son will be going with his class in the spring, and we took the older kids in 2003. New York is NEW YORK and will ALWAYS be an amazing thing to see. Awesome!
I’m FROM not far from New York City, but I moved away from there 22 years ago. Long way from there now in Tucson, Arizona. Good trip, if you don’t come too late and get snowed in!
You should also be able to work through the sheet with someone at Schecter who can pull up the spec sheet on your year and model Revenger and help you out. Customs aren’t cheap, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
I’d be happy to answer anything guitar-related that I can, but I am not a Schecter guy – I’ve owned one, and it was a 7 string Omen. I sold it because in six years I had it, I almost never played it.
Or, don’t look for “Blackweb” – those are just the speakers. You need to point the output at the “soundcard” that the speakers are plugged into, which is the onboard sound card – in other words, your normal speaker output.
IMO, the rhythm guitars are a little too loud (and probably need the highs or high-mids boosted a touch to sound less muffled) and the kick and snare are way too low. The snare crack should be just about the loudest thing in the mix – it should cut cleanly and clearly through EVERYTHING.
Great...
It’s harder to play standing up, but better all around. You’ll notice that Syn and other rock stars don’t bring comfy chairs out on stage to play. I find that as I’m getting older, my back is less forgiving on heavy guitars like the Les Paul and even my older Ibanez. I just got a headless Kiesel...
@jak – great video. Not having support from family or friends is a common thing, and I dealt with it in the 80s and 90s too. Friends who weren’t in my band didn’t like metal and would OCCASIONALLY come out to a show if nothing else was going on. I’ve already told the story about how my parents...
I have not used ASIO4ALL in many years, but I believe it has an icon in the system tray from which you can launch the configuration or settings manager.
