    Oh man I feel your pain. Was same way after I injured my hand on volleyball. I suggest you trying some ear training exercises and also digging into theory stuff that doesn’t always require instrument.

    How much do looks matter to you?

    I think for me it’s a complex of things. But I tend to pick up a guitar to try out in a store, by the way it looks and then check the feel of it, sound and etc. But again if guitar looks great, but is not comfortable playing or I don’t like the sound I won’t by it just for looks.

    I always have 11ths on my acoustic. Love them. Can play anything ,some strumming and also lead or fingerstyle, they’re not too thick and very comfortable.

    For me it was. Playing only fingerpicking now it’s really challenging to play with a pick and also I wasn’t playing with a metronome.

    Since I had an acoustic guitar most of the time, I was learning rythm parts and scales, after 7 yrars of plays, just noe got comfortable enough to start learning some solos.

    I think both works. Sometimes, when I’m working on some classical music piece -sheet music comes in handy, but for some rock n metal tabs are easier to find.     I try to change them every two months, but it really depends on frequency of playing and, Of course, the brand matters too for example -Elixirs tend to sound bright longer, than the other strings. But again as long as your comfortable with how they sound and the don’t cause trouble tunning...
