Feel pressured or nervous to put your beginning accomplishments up with those shredding out 32nd note sweeps? Firstly, you shouldn't. Secondly, this place is just for you! This is the BEGINNERS spot where you can feel comfortable posting your first riff, song, whatever!
Trying to get in the habit of doing at least one lesson per day.
Took on the lessons again. Also made an album with my media that was directly influenced by the CAGED System. @[5:@Jak Angelescu] EDIT: I have no idea how to create an album without having to reupload the riffs for it LOL
Avenged Sevenfold - Seize The Day Solo (Improvised Re-Write)
Avenged Sevenfold - Seize The Day Solo (Improvised Re-Write) So I decided to be a bit creative with my first post, having started learning sweep picking, I've come up with an improvised re-write of Seize the Day guitar solo with a bit of sweep in, simple sweeps, nothing too complex.
Skipped ahead and watched the bending lesson, and Ids’ awesome video and have been practicing. I’m going to make it a daily goal to practice just bends for a little bit each day 😊

Hi all, pretty shy about posting this, with speaking also in a video, never done it before, but I feel good here, so lets go for it :) Im practising on bending, a lesson by papa Gates. Bending and vibrato are pretty difficult to me (to hear if im in right note), but i just keep on practising to get it better. Feedback appreciated
I started to learn this awhile back and it was too difficult so I gave up. But I’m trying again. Question : as you see I am kind of “flicking” two strings....I remember awhile back reading about and seeing a video for this but cannot remember what this is called! Does anyone know ? It’s like, since the strings are beside each other, instead of finger picking them individually I’m doing a little flick.

Hi all, here is a video of me practising on palm muting. Ive got some advice here lately and im practising on it. Is the mute ok now, or is it maybe too soft, should I pick muted note harder? Any other advice is welcome! Thanks for watching
I’ve really been drawn to my acoustic lately. Probably because I’ve played my electric so much. I don’t practice as often as I should and sometimes I like to just not focus on a particular lesson but just strum some chords and see what happens. For me that is FUN, and I am practicing I guess in a sense. This is just me randomly trying different chords and strumming patterns and seeing what comes out.
Disclaimer: I am NOT a singer lol However, I have wanted to play and sing for myself for quite some time now but was too scared to try. This is my take on “Blown Away” by Carrie Underwood. It’s a very stripped down version of the original and I modified the chorus because... my ass can’t sing let alone belt like Carrie lol Also, I kind of like it better being a bit more melancholy. Fun fact : I don’t even particularly care for country music, but I love this song. Wasn’t going to post this but I was proud I actually accomplished what I set out to do even if it isn’t great.
Hey 👋. Me again playing this first solo one week later. Not really sure if there’s been any improvement but at least I can say I feel way more confident and that’s a good thing 💪💪
To skip me saying “um” a hundred times, go to 1:05 Trying to play with a backing track 🥴 I still have to learn the bridge to this song.... Also, I think we can all appreciate the fact I look Crush from Finding Nemo on the thumbnail ! 🤣

Atleast I tried 😂😂

I've been practicing the song and somehow wanted to make it my own and made 2 versions, one faster more like the actual song and a slower one. Which one does sound better to you, the slower or the faster version? I can't figure out which one I like best. BTW excuse the background sound, it was windy and also some construction works going on nearby.
I'm a beginner, just 2 months in, so don't expect anything ^^. Trying to clean this up before moving to higher bpm.

I'm keeping on my struggle to improve my technique learning solos. Comments for help are very welcome
Yesterday’s practice trying to improve palm muting. This time I played sitting down because my shoulder is hurting badly
If you guys saw the video of my husband and I, we are working on Unholy Confessions. I wanted to show what one weeks worth of practice has done. I’ve never really seen a lot of improvement with myself like I have over this past week working on this riff with hammer ons, pull offs, and alternate picking. I’m super excited to actually SEE the progress ! Side note, sorry for the screen record. Phone was full and I had already deleted the original from today without thinking 🤦🏼‍♀️
Hi all, a week ago I posted me practising solo of Warmness on the Soul. I have worked on the advice that was given to me: - the slides, i push harder on the fret when moving, so the sounds stays better - Put my fingers more close to eachother above the fretboard - Vibrato. Still have difficulties with it, especially in second part, which is a little bit faster. If I~ wanna do it the correct way I seem to have too short of time. Its not a big change in total, but I see some slightly progress and wanted to share with you, because of all the nice feedback i got on my first video. I still miss like a full and smooth sound like i hear when i look up a cover on internet, but problibly I need lot more practise for that. My sound on video is also not really good, because i use computer microphone
