Honestly I dont think i improved much past the first week which is fair considering I put way more practice that first week. Will keep practicing moving forward but I feel I couldve improved more with more concentrated practice. My fret hand pinky is trying to get away from my hand
I wanted to share a different side of my musicality as well as I was testing my new microphones. Why not! After a year of playing, I am pretty happy with where I am on the cello! Oh and for those asking, it is wedding music. It just happens that the wedding where this song was played ended in a blood bath (if you know, you know ;) ) Anyways, have a great Friday everyone! :)
It's been a while since I've been on this site. I've been working on a project with my band. We are trying to put out an album and so far we have 4 songs complete but I think this one is my favorite. I'll post a link below to our channel for anyone who wants to hear the other songs and if you like what you hear then give us a follow please. We would greatly appreciate it. https://youtube.com/channel/UClz2tmkXjhlaQjSNzJ2uHnQ
I asked people what songs they last learned and stole some of their ideas. Played until the Guitarrig demo stopped😂.

Blues practice 2

Here's another example. Same backing track as my other video, trying to sound different...a bit clumsy sometimes too... I'm recording and listening to what I play a lot, trying to be aware of my weaker spots. I always tend to play too many notes, and this helps

Blues practice 1

It's been a while since I posted a video in the school. Life's been busy. I've been working on my blues improv. Basically I'm trying to come up with different ideas using the same backing track. I try to be mindful of my landing notes.
¡Hello everybody! I'm starting in the world of music production and with what I know about the subject (because I think I still have a lot to learn), I was encouraged to record the solo for the final countdown, by the Swedish band Europe. I hope you like it. (I don't have the rights to the song).
So, the first actual Avenged solo that I was able to record a somewhat clean version of! Now I know this is one of the easier solos, but still a huge leap for me from where I started. Now the audio quality isn't that great, so I apologize for that as even now I still have no idea what the hell I'm doing when it comes to editing and sound quality, but this was fun to learn and do regardless!
Happy 40th Birthday @[2:@Syn Gates] ! 🥳 I teamed up with my favorite beginners from this site: the amazingly talented @[79761:@Aquamandy] , @[69188:@ari.mac] and @[73823:@redlipsofdeceit] to make a cool beginner-level collab to celebrate this special date 🥰 Couldn't have asked for better people to join me on this mission and I had an absolute blast working with these badass ladies! 💪🏼 This project turned into something bigger as soon as they stepped in with their ideas and of course their talent 👩🏻‍🎤 We wanted to make something special for this day, and of course very metal 😜🤘🏼 So I made some arrangements and the results turned out far better than I could have imagined! We want to wish you, Syn, all of the best from the bottom of our hearts! 🖤 Thank you for being one of our greatest inspirations and for providing this amazing community, a really wonderful space for so many talented musicians from all levels! WE LOVE YOU 💜 Cheers! 🥂

I've been feeling really creative lately and I haven't been recording anything, I did record this one though. I started with making 4 octaves (I think that's what they're called) and just filled in some notes. It was slightly better before recording but it goes like this pretty much. CAGED System Riff I think is cool, I'll share it tomorrow. I think I can somewhat wield it well now been practicing a lot of different stuff

In repair

I have been wanting to learn this song for a while and final got the time to do so 😁
So Far Away SOLO

So Far Away SOLO

just unboxed the Sun Gates Custom S 😍 playing on a 5150. How does it sound?
My second output! Nothing crazy maybe, I wrote it as a backing track to another video I'll release soon. Still proud of it
So I am practicing the first solo in Critical Acclaim. As silly as it might seem I have been trying to learn this since fucking January, so I'm proud I can play it! Figured I would try to learn and focus on the first solo before I even attempt the second solo. Now of course I messed up on some sections, cause again I freeze up during recordings, but I still had fun trying, and of course it is always nice to see improvement from January.

I was going to record some video today and went with this cause @[73823:@redlipsofdeceit] asked me to try. I practiced it again a couple weeks ago after seeing the thread she made. Only practiced it a few times today and it's not perfect. Dropped my pick towards the end, I made another video but I was burping a lot. Feeling nervous and unsteady today. The recorded version sounds chimey to me, maybe 2 guitars but I think it could be one with the right notes/patterns. I was looking at a nice tab someone made. Almost forgot I was too rough with my guitar for this song

I haven't been sharing much lately, not sure why. This is not in time, I can't really get into right now. Whenever I learned a new chord or progression I like to try and match it/them with other stuff I already knew or try to play it different. "Tears in Heaven" is the first song/riff I tried to learn I quickly gave up mostly cause my fingers hurt and it was hard to memorize at the time with all the variations. Someone I knew was trying to learn it so I tried as well. I'd heard the song before but I didn't know anything before trying to learn the instrument. Second song I tried was "More than Words" I played them not so great but I was able to get the clap thing going which was very satisfying. Tomorrow I may upload a cover or I'm not sure yet, but I want to be loud.
