Alright, Day 2... riff? Melody? Melody. It sounds more like an opening to something, I think. Whatever ya wanna call it, this is what I came up with for Day 2, using the A string!

Day 2, String 2, Riff 2: I had no time at all today, and could not even get my looper pedal to work. So here is a simple 12 bar blues, 2 repetitions. First is more like a bass line, the second run through is more a melody. Enjoy.

Kicked it off with the low D string - this guitar is in drop D, and I refuse to mess with the Floyd Rose system on it until I'm more familiar LOL, oof. But, yeah! This was fun, and I actually ended up really liking what I came up with. The more I played it, though, the more it sort of sounded like something I had heard before, so I hope I'm not ripping anyone off hahahah.

Nirvana Cover.!

This is the first guitar cover I have ever done. I don't really know what I am doing when it comes to making a cover video, but I had fun doing it! I am still very nervous when recording myself playing, so I may have made some errors, but I had fun regardless.

Day 1, low E string... well, actually D string. I didn't plan much, I just improvised a bunch to a drum track and recorded some of it. A couple of times, the changes in the drums caught me off guard and threw out of rhythm a bit. Anyway, enjoy.

After studying the 'C' shape of the CAGED system a bit, I spent some time today trying to familiarize myself with playing the campfire chords with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers. :) It feels weird after playing them the 'regular' way for so long, but I'm getting more and more comfortable! Hopefully comfortable enough to play around with some arpeggio stuff soon. 🤘🏻

Nothing planned this entire video is just me jamming to backtracks online. I wasnt gonna share but there's some neat runs in there.

I've been using this as a practice exercise for a while now, and have found it really helpful to work on my hand synchronization, trying to really focus on keeping my right hand in even time. And since the number of notes per string changes, it gets pretty tricky trying to keep my pick in the right angle.

As the title says this is for fans of Avenged. This is my band Faith in Failure, and Avenged is one of our collective influences. I feel like our song "The Fields" is our most Avenged like song at the moment.
