What part of "free site with hundreds of lessons from one of the premiere heavy metal guitarists of the modern generation" seems like a scam? Let me know and I will see if I can answer to your concerns.

    Space between tone pots?

It's all the same, if you think about it. Yeah, you don't want them TOUCHING, but there's no issue with them being close.

    Space between tone pots?

I believe the spacing is only about getting fingers around knobs. They're all connected together in the wiring chain, and they're passive modifiers, so spacing shouldn't otherwise matter (may be a different answer for active pickups? I don't think so, but maybe).

    CIRCLE OF FIFTHS!

Saved for later. I did notice he's talking like a human and not like a "YouTube Personality," which is a huge plus in my book. Thanks, CJ! Also, for our younger members - if I have one regret at all (And I have more than one, but that's a story for another post), it's that I didn't learn all...

    Open and Closed-Back cabinets

A short time ago, someone was asking about the difference between open back and closed back cabinets. I don't remember who it was, or if I answered clearly enough, but I came across this article in my inbox today. It's from Crutchfield (the car stereo people) and they're talking about the...

Stay cool! Southern AZ here, and it's gonna hit like 110 here today, too, as it has all week. Just make sure you crack a window when you leave Grandma in the car!

Restoring an UN-loved Syn Gates Custom (original model) and key model differences!

This is an AMAZING post, and I devoured it. It's funny, every single thing you mentioned about changes in the new models addresses issues I had with the first one I played, probably back in 09 or 10. I will *definitely* have to try out a new model. I remain definitely NOT A FAN of artist models...

    Zacky's Red Guitar

You wouldn't need a true flight case unless you were touring regularly. A standard hardshell case is more than enough for occasional travel. When I bought my Ormsby, it was shipped from Australia to Arizona in three days - hard to get much farther than that (almost exactly halfway around the...

Bend silently, BEFORE you pick. pick the note, gently release. Awesome for putting feelies in bluesy stuff.

Vibrato getting awesome. Where's Mr. #SaveTheLefties?? You trying to hide your true self? Some tasty morsels in here. Nice! Have you dug into ghost bends yet?

    Zacky's Red Guitar

The Synbuckers are in one of my Ibanez. When I get it back from the stainless refret, it's gonna be a fuckin BEAST. I think if I go headless again, it will be a hardtail, because the real issue with the tuners is adjusting them without wobbling the bridge so much.

    Zacky's Red Guitar

Yes. And, and to be honest, that's the only thing I'm not crazy about. It's a pain to fine tune to perfection. They're KIND OF like the fine tuners on a Floyd, but not.

    Zacky's Red Guitar

My comfort zone is my PRS Custom 24. You'll see it again the Collab video, whenever that comes out, but my day to day workhorse right now (because the PRS doesn't have stainless frets yet) is the Kiesel Osiris, also partially because with no headstock, it's super light.
