Like To Be You

I'm still trying to work on my singing a little bit. This time a shawn mendes song I dig quite a lot. I wanted to do like a split screen during the solo but then my video editing skills sucked monkey balls so I just did whatever this is instead 🤣🤣

Slide Practice Method

This should help get to know your guitar better. I guess you could pick specific notes to start and end on as well. You can also go back 'n' forth between sets of notes to make cool sounds. I might have missed things, this is a start. I used my picking arm to hold the guitar in place a bit, for balance. It's probably better to hold the previous fingers in place after switching to 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Should help with muting and stamina.
Glass House - Machine gun Kelly
Quick and short cover I did of MGK’s Glass House from Hotel Diablo

modes lesson 2

Where the last lesson touched on when you are in a mode and make D Dorian sound like D Dorian and not like C major, there's also another way you can treat the modes and this video touches on that.
Hey ya'll, been too long! Just in a PTV and BFMV kick right now.
Soul's Last Breath - Demo song (2021)
Demo song, I used virtual bass and drums, so there may be some errors. A7x inspired me a lot. Tell me what you think
Back with Lesson 22! I feel pretty confident about the concept of Hammer-ons. It's the Pull-Offs I'm more concerned about. I did my best to figure it out myself. Let me know if I got it right and maybe even some more feedback?
Decided to try to practice Am pentatonic scale from Lesson 20 using the exercises Papa Gates talked about.

modes explanation

I've seen a bunch of questions about modes lately so I figured I'd make a little lesson/demonstration on it during my break
New Metal

Legato Etude

I'm keen to do more collabs, so hit me up! Enjoy!

I want It That Way

This is my audition for the Synner boyband 🤪🤪 On a serious note, I was actually planning to work on either a shawn mendes song today or record an acoustic version of a john mayer song today. However, I was listening to this ben today and it threw me back to my partying days so figured I'd have some fun with it.
Still 52 BPM short of the recording but that transition is coming along.
愛の最悪[Worst love]
This Metal song is all about my pain and worst love circumstances, I don't have a perfect life😢😭I'll hope you like it😃 the lyrics are short but the language is Japanese, I'm sorry, I'll hope you like it😃🙏🙏
Just wanted to share a little progress video. It's not much but I'm really proud of this 😂 the first clip is me in november doing permutations at 80 bpms, in quarter notes and all down picking. Second clip is me now, in February, doing the same exercise at 95 bpms which is not that much more but in eighth notes and alternate picking. I know I have a lot to work on but this is a little victory for me 😁
I'm returning to lesson 18 today to track my progress! Because a lot of you know I really had a struggle with that palm muting. So using Lesson 18 I'm just using a little exercise with open and palm muting. Definitely think it's improved a lot! Besides when I get nervous and overthink it. LOL!
Had a band practice today and was able to play this briefly. It was a lot of fun
Got some fine tuning to do, but I was able to play part of Going to California along with the recording. Big thanks to @[1427:@Ed Seith] for the tip on practicing faster than the recording and thanks to @[4668:@Alicia Willis] for the tip on pinky finger anchoring. Still working on that jump from intro to main theme, but it's getting faster.
I've been reading the autobiography of Tesla's bassist this week (it's actually a lot better than I expected it to be) and this morning, I was reading about the making of their 3rd album, Psychotic Supper. Edison's Medicine was the lead single from that album, so I decided to start learning it this afternoon. This is my second playthrough the track - some parts I can't play up to speed or get lost, other parts I haven't actually learned yet. No thought given to any leads yet AT ALL. This is as raw as it gets for me, so here you go. If I decide to keep working on this one, there might be a progress video in a couple weeks, though this is not something I would work on continuously for all of that time.
