Riffs

So, this is my starting point for the one month challenge. This song (the iconic intro riff in particular) has been a picking exercise for me in my early days of guitar playing (last year xD), NOW it is time to get more serious. My goals for the one month challenge are: 1) Tighten everything up, add details. Slash doesn't actually just strum the rhythm in the verses, he is playing a couple of interesting picking patterns, that I need to learn and implement... and of course make everything clean and tidy. :) 2) You will notice that the highlight of the song is still missing... the two main solos. Just learning the notes will be doable in way less than a month, but getting the fast parts up to speed and NAILING the phrasing in the melodic parts... That will keep me busy for more than 1 month, but I will try my best to get as far as possible. :)
Getting better. Close to being ready to work on the bridge.
My progress with the intro so far. Will work on it for a month and share the results with you! By the way, first time I get into two finger tapping. Always thought it was too difficult for me but I feel I am getting there!

this was recorded moments after jak posted her post last night. the inspiration she created is never ending.
Feel free to give constructive feedback
Sooo, I just bought a used Axe FX II and I'm really liking it so far. I tried my best to replicate Petruccinator's 2003-ish tone! Axe FX users, feel free to give me some tips... :D And that's definitely the most ridiculous solo I know, if you really wanna put your alternate picking speed and endurance to the test, give it a try...
Creeping Death-Metallica full speed
Havent posted in a minute, so this is for those who dont follow me on instagram. Creeping death, Full speed! Worked on this for a while, to a metronome, god it was terrible. Paid off though!

sky high

my first set of songs have been reuploaded to streaming services. I just started the process of the 2nd set. This is a song I'm highlighting first off that as I wrote it at the school. I was doing the caged system lessons, and I built the melody off that. Although the chords are G and A and the melody is based off the C major system I think it sounds ok. I debatted changing the chords but I figured it already fits together why mess with it. This is one of my favourite songs I wrote due to how smooth it came together. A lot of melody in this song.

this one is okay, playing around with more 1 4 1 chords.

Using the 1 5 4 6 chords in different patterns. Getting more familiar with the sounds of the progressions.. gonna start trying to point them out in videos.

Been a while since I have been on here, going to start posting more from my tiktok and going to be more active in the forums!
Gotta play when it feels right! Came up with this riff today, though not sure if it's accidentally copied from something else. Can't pin point it though. Rather simple but a lot of fun. Do you think I should keep working on it and maybe turn this into a full song at some point?

Ginuwine: Pony (Jam)

Noodling on the same ol’ licks. Try’na find something that sticks.

wait Until Tomorrow

There's some bluffing Involved but I tried my hand at john mayer's cover of wait until tomorrow
A bit of a bizarre one to come back with, but it's something I've been working on (by ear, as usual), and I thought I'd share it with you as I'm super proud of it! I need to get my pinky finger working a bit more, as there's plenty of opportunity, it's just making sure it sounds good and is comfortable to play! Also, I did record a whole cover for one of my favourite video game themes! That'll be coming once I record the video for it! And also, a very happy international Women's day!! \m/
Blues solo

Blues solo

British blues vibes with some modern color.
Thought people might want to see the Dark Night guitar in action. Don't claim this is by any means a perfect cover of the song but it's about as much effort as I can put into it for the moment.

hotel california progress

Captain @[1427:@Ed Seith] told me to make a progress video, and here it is, like I promised. Been fixing some wrong notes with the help of the theory. My big goal is to get the full solo by ear and check with the theory, so I'm gonna keep on working on the next sections during the next weeks. Will be posting when I have something new.
Happy Synner Sunday Everyone!!! This has a lot of mistakes in it, but it was fun to learn and fun to play, so I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did. It was a true challenge playing through the whole thing, and served as a reminder as to why learning entire songs is an important part of development. In my opinion, that applies to everyone. Learning a full song tests your concept of timing and rhythm, and forces you to drill your areas of technique which may be lacking. Last but not least, it forces you to either fix or improvise with mistakes on the fly. As you will see, there are a few times where my fingers do not end up where they should be, but knowing the song well allows me to make quick corrections. With that, I hope everyone is having an awesome day, I look forward to seeing everyone else's uploads for today! Also, that is the most comfortable fuckin hoodie I've ever worn, I was almost sweating recording this. 120% worth it.
