This is my attempt at fully recreating Tim Henson's video "How to make a riff 3". I tried my best, let me know what you think, also added a Himiko Toga Edit at the end just cause I love her!!🥰🔪

i figured it out just now, a bit ago I've been doing a lot of guessing work, I remembered something Bill Hudson said on the masterclass about noticing the major scale everywhere after and he said and did an example of going up and down in the same area. was about the next note being near or next to it. super big help, Thank you! it was kind of lingering and it's been helping me figure stuff out waaaaay easier. I really should get back to remembering the names of the notes on the fretboard and practice songs again. starting to lack

You asked for shorter videos this is probably the shortest they will go. This was the first of a few to contain some new chords my friend Spencer (who is courting guitar parts with me) was using. I do not believe i played the scale to.match that chord but will be looking up these scales more and practice it this weekend.

This is my audition for the Synner boyband 🤪🤪 On a serious note, I was actually planning to work on either a shawn mendes song today or record an acoustic version of a john mayer song today. However, I was listening to this ben today and it threw me back to my partying days so figured I'd have some fun with it.

Still 52 BPM short of the recording but that transition is coming along.

I'm back.

Had a band practice today and was able to play this briefly. It was a lot of fun

Got some fine tuning to do, but I was able to play part of Going to California along with the recording. Big thanks to @[1427:@Ed Seith] for the tip on practicing faster than the recording and thanks to @[4668:@Alicia Willis] for the tip on pinky finger anchoring. Still working on that jump from intro to main theme, but it's getting faster.

I've been reading the autobiography of Tesla's bassist this week (it's actually a lot better than I expected it to be) and this morning, I was reading about the making of their 3rd album, Psychotic Supper. Edison's Medicine was the lead single from that album, so I decided to start learning it this afternoon. This is my second playthrough the track - some parts I can't play up to speed or get lost, other parts I haven't actually learned yet. No thought given to any leads yet AT ALL. This is as raw as it gets for me, so here you go. If I decide to keep working on this one, there might be a progress video in a couple weeks, though this is not something I would work on continuously for all of that time.

Almost Easy solo :D

What's going on Synners!? Happy Synner Sundays! Such a cool solo! Had to slow this down a bit, as I haven't been practicing it long. It needs some more time, but on a day like today I couldn't possibly NOT show y'all what I've been up to. I haven't been very active because of work, and it has been a rough few weeks. To add onto it all, the Instagram page went down. I believe that we can make it through these times together though, because this school has pulled me up many times, and there is no doubt in my mind that tough times will fly by with enough shredding from all of us. Hope everyone is doing great, and I can't wait to see what new things the school has planned for us!
