A bit of a bizarre one to come back with, but it's something I've been working on (by ear, as usual), and I thought I'd share it with you as I'm super proud of it! I need to get my pinky finger working a bit more, as there's plenty of opportunity, it's just making sure it sounds good and is comfortable to play! Also, I did record a whole cover for one of my favourite video game themes! That'll be coming once I record the video for it! And also, a very happy international Women's day!! \m/

British blues vibes with some modern color.

Thought people might want to see the Dark Night guitar in action. Don't claim this is by any means a perfect cover of the song but it's about as much effort as I can put into it for the moment.

Captain @[1427:@Ed Seith] told me to make a progress video, and here it is, like I promised. Been fixing some wrong notes with the help of the theory. My big goal is to get the full solo by ear and check with the theory, so I'm gonna keep on working on the next sections during the next weeks. Will be posting when I have something new.

Happy Synner Sunday Everyone!!! This has a lot of mistakes in it, but it was fun to learn and fun to play, so I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did. It was a true challenge playing through the whole thing, and served as a reminder as to why learning entire songs is an important part of development. In my opinion, that applies to everyone. Learning a full song tests your concept of timing and rhythm, and forces you to drill your areas of technique which may be lacking. Last but not least, it forces you to either fix or improvise with mistakes on the fly. As you will see, there are a few times where my fingers do not end up where they should be, but knowing the song well allows me to make quick corrections. With that, I hope everyone is having an awesome day, I look forward to seeing everyone else's uploads for today! Also, that is the most comfortable fuckin hoodie I've ever worn, I was almost sweating recording this. 120% worth it.

Tried my best to get it 99% accurate... :) If you wanna improve as an overall musician, ditch tabs and try learning solos by ear. The best way to do this (imo) is to slow down the song on YouTube to 0.5 or even 0.25 speed! If you're lucky, you might also find an isolated guitar track! ;)

So my computer with all my recordings and all 65 Syns etudes backing tracks broke LOLOL I'll eventually repost this with better sound quality and both video angles. I won't have any newly produced content for a little while as I sliced my pinky ...

One of my favorite songs from The Doors. I love weird and uncomfortable, music and this track is a great example of that being done well. I tried to sort of add my own takes on the weirdness to the playing to further push the more uncomfortable “out there” vibe the song presents. Some areas I think it worked, some areas it just sounds meh or flat, but uhhhh points for trying? 😅 It’s a weird song and I had a blast with it. The original is just so keyboard dominated that hearing the guitar parts played over top is a bit jarring, at least in my opinion. If you’ve never heard the song before definitely check it out, you’ll see what I mean and it’s a WILD ride. I cut off right before the solo because it’s going to take a bit more time before I can tackle that beast! Robby Krieger is a creative genius when it comes to guitar. Severally underrated by later generations imo. “The minister's daughter's in love with the snake” 🐍

My guitar is tuned down a half step from E Standard. Was trying to help and may have deviated slightly from the topic. I made this to help some. There's more things you can do. The solo is a bit of a bitch and overall there's some bluffing goin on in the lead bits but I tried 😅

I decided to learn the outro of The Stage that Syn plays live, the chords used here remember me a lot to Villa-Lobos Etude N°1 (check it if you want to hear an awesome shred on classical guitar) on the last part i'm doing some tremolo wich is a common tecnique for classical guitar (check Recuerdos de la Alhambra, incredible piece that uses tremolo on the whole song) if you checked those songs let me know what you think!
