Riffs

Close, but no cigar.

Close, but no cigar.

Getting close, but not quite there yet. What’s on your quarantine practice list? Can anyone name this solo I’m working on?
A few timing errors here and there but turned out ok overall. Also working on the Sanitarium intro solo, will post that up next time.

I wrote this in an hour. It's at 90% speed but I'm getting there😃 I forgot my guitar was in drop D and ended up with this jam.
I started with the Paul Gilbert 5 day challenge and I messed up so I wrote something resending a song.
Improv fingerpicking style of the old song The Wildwood Flower. Unbrushed hair and all. Using an Ovation through Boss Katana 100 watt. Some history of the song: “Originally it was a “parlor song,” a quiet tune meant for amateur performance in the drawing ...

Afterlife - Analysis

I'm a little sick but here's the analysis of Afterlife. 0:00 demonstration (kinda) 0:50 intro 2:04 verse 3:00 pre-chorus 6:10 chorus 7:50 bridge/solo
I completely forgot that I made this one. I think I shared this on FB 1 yr ago and since FB likes to remind people about stuff we did 1,2 3 yrs ago, i saw this. I listened to it and felt only 1 thing. I don't make licks/lines like this anymore and feels so different, as if someone else made this. Ended up listening to the whole thing and liking it (felt wierd for liking my own song which i forgot). So felt I should share it

SLAUGHTERVILLE

Wrote the guitar, vocals, bass. Thanks to anyone who checks it out. Keep rocking. And remember corona virus aint so bad with a little salt and lime. ROCK ON.

New Riff

I listened to Jak's Advice and moved on with the lessons. I combined the C chord in its different shapes with positions of the C pentatonic scale. It's not perfect yet, Chords still giving me trouble but it's a good exercise. Also the first of a couple I might do. I did play the Chord an octave higher because I don't like the open pentatonic position, so I played the octave instead.

I have one more day of incorporating lesson 26 before I move on! I came up with a motif I liked and improvised some of this.
I mean the crowd asked for it, sorry for the shit quality
Decided to do a short video of the intro to "now that we're dead" by Metallica as I use that song to warm up but also to practice my rhythm playing.
