Riff Challenge Game! Everybody feel free to participate

This song title didn't sound familiar, so I went looking. I can't find that this song exists anywhere?

Riff Challenge Game! Everybody feel free to participate

That's a 7 string in Bb... I don't have a 7, and the only thing I've got close to that low (Drop B) has a floating bridge on it. Can you pick something else for which I don't have to tear down a guitar to do it? :)

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

I have. George is writing and playing quite furiously lately, between Sweet/Lynch, Lynch Mob, and KXM. There's a lot of great stuff in there. I think I may have to dig deep and do a George Metal Minute...

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

Practice What You Preach - great album. Skolnick was a MONSTER back then. He did the first post-Criss Savatage album, too - Handful of Rain, but he only played leads on it.

    New Album

The biggest problem with the new Disturbed album is that the LAST album had a huge, popular ballad on it. This album tries too hard for another one, and the whole thing is terrible, IMO.

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

I do think the first Lynch Mob album is better than Dokken. Wicked Sensation, with Oni Logan singing. But I also don't think this is something worth arguing about - the great joy of music is that everyone's opinion is both right and wrong. Unless you love Post Malone. Fuck that shit.

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

You're talking about the era that I grew up in, but also the era when guitar ruled the world, if you will. There's no shortage of cheese in that mine, but there's a lot of gold to be found, as well. I tend to prefer more deep album cuts than radio singles, especially from bands like Dokken, who...

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

I made a playlist of Def Leppard when I want to listen to them. It's most of On Through the Night, High n Dry and Pyromania, and then a handful of non-singles from most of the other albums. It's satisfying. I saw them many times in the late 80s - always a great show back then. Lots of good memories.

    New School Launches!

I think it has something to do with the Soundslice player the site uses and certain countries' laws or copyright limitations. If you're able, try through a VPN?

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

To me (as a fan starting in 83), Lep were always better when they weren't chasing a hit. If I never hear tripe like Pour Some Sugar on Me again, I'll be VERY HAPPY, but that same album (Hysteria) has some great tracks on it - God of War, Run Riot, and even Don't Shoot Shotgun are all decent...

    BREAKING FUCKING NEWS.

Did ANYONE listening to this shit in the 80s think for ONE FUCKING MINUTE that Motley Crue, Poison, and Ozzy would even still be ALIVE in 2020? And Def Leppard? Jesus, that band is cursed. I love their deep album cuts (singles not so much), but the luck? Even them being alive is amazing. I...

    Thank you

Nothing drives forward momentum like gigging or even just playing in the room with other people. Congrats on getting it DONE!! Feels good, doesn't it?

What Should The New A7X Forum Be Called?

You could call it after an A7X song... Bat Country works. The Stage. Exist. Critical Acclaim, since it's almost always fanboy/girl stuff...

    New Motivation

I have, but there are impediments to my start date. I have my big cycling event this weekend, and the long rides monopolize my time. Also, my son the Marine is in town for the first time in a year, so we're spending a lot of time with him. Either Monday or after US Thanksgiving (next Thursday -...

Best Metal albuns in the decade

Honestly, I couldn't, either. I think each of the songs is really strong on their own merits, and if I'm shuffling A7X and anything from HttK comes on, I listen and enjoy, but even though I'm an album-oriented listener, I never listen to that album - and I do every other one from City of Evil...

Best Metal albuns in the decade

I think Nightmare has the deepest gut punch, because of what they were working through, and where they were going. It's a Grail album for those reasons, but in most every other way, I consider The Stage to be their finest collective work. They took a LOT of stylistic, performance, and production...

    Picking hand issues

I understand your problem. In over 35 years, I've NEVER been able to downpick fast enough to play Master properly.
