    For the volume knob, crunching is usually dust. Try getting some electronics contact cleaner spray and spray inside the pot (you can remove the knob itself, and spray the part where the shaft enters the pot, then twist it all the way on and off a few times, to see if that helps.     The USA Pre Clean and USA Clean are nice. So is the CA Tucana Clean. The ODS-100 Cleans are a Dumble tone, and there are some great cleans to be found in there. Also the TX Star Clean is great, as well. There are plenty of others, but those are the ones I seem to gravitate to.
